Come on mate, he's a full England international player and hasn't been a "youth team" player in 4 years.
He came through our youth team system, the majority of other prospects of his age are not on first teams yet. Give the lad a chance.

When he's playing with the king of the castle attitude he's playing with he deserves as much shite as anyone else, he's looking to squeeze us for another contract on Messi level money, he needs to a wake-up call.
We don't have to give him a huge pay rise. He's not going anywhere else no matter how much his agent says that 'Barcelona' are interested. My arse. Who the hell believes that crap?

He puts more effort in than most on that team today.

21 years of age.

So is Jovic, go see the difference between the two of them. One is an actual striker that can finish. How long are we going to see Rashford's age as an excuse for his complete lack of progression?

Let's not get too bogged down with this now. Effort of course is fantastic, but you also need composure and an end product. The two go together.

100%, most of our team have neither however.
Lack of effort is unforgivable however.

We have no-one at the club better atm

If he's still with us next season then he has to play on the left. The only position where he ever looked dangerous. Hopefully Martial and Sanchez are gone so he can go back to making that position his again. 4 out of 10 for this season.

Hopefully any potential competition is gone so he doesn't have to earn a position?

Martial can feck off.
Beggars can't be choosers. At least he can hold the ball up and finish.

Been there /done that
When?

Nah, he can't. He walks about and has the movement of a brick. He can feck off whilst we can still make some money from him.

Been utter cack for us. It's like he has a footballers version of writers block.

Shame we've got no-one to replace him with who's actually good.

Well we aren't selling him, which is why we might as well try it.

Movement required for the wing and in the middle is not the same.

Martial is better, not by much but enough for striker especially in the holding up and finishing aspect, I don't care about running all over the field if it's to do nothing in dangerous positions. Rashford should go back on the left wing until the summer then it should be back to the two of them competing for one spot at best on this club, which is when you'd get the best out of these two limited players.

If Jovic could be brought in, it would be a step in the right direction although he won't succeed on his own in this team.

It doesn't reflect on Ole well at all. Got to be morale sapping for the other players to see him getting multiple free passes and favouritism from the manager despite dirt poor performances. Fair enough, all of our forwards are poor but why is Rashy the undroppable one?

Also morale sapping for players behind to keep working and running when they know they got a toothless striker who constantly gives the ball away up front. Not good.

You've answered your own question, the manager of course takes the blame. It's a fact that this is the best set of players Ole has ever had at his disposal, he has even taken attribution to that in saying they "are a quality bunch of players".

The most concerning aspect is that Ole cannot, "jump start" the players, every single team in world football will have bad results that's a given. The difference with Ole is he doesn't have what it takes to get us out of such a slump (hence why he got Cardiff relegated). Even under Jose the team didn't deteriorate to such an extent they lost faith in him due to his own agendas.

My point is these players are not quality as we all think they are!. So ole can only get so much out of them

It is however a concern if ole thinks they are quality!

Rashford must be playing through injury, cause I see no other explanation for him being so weak in duels as he was today. If he´s not injured, well.

Even if he's asking for £300k a week, its about half of what Messi gets.

I've never checked Messi's financials but I find it hard to believe he's on over half a million a week, regardless, 300K a week is more than the likes of Liverpool's front 3 or players like Bernardo and De Bruyne are on, it's ridiculous.

We don't have to give him a huge pay rise. He's not going anywhere else no matter how much his agent says that 'Barcelona' are interested. My arse. Who the hell believes that crap?

Sure, but the audacity to try it on when the club is in the mess it's in is disappointing for a local player and United fan.

Not all of the time, he's often petulant and stroppy on the ball instead of playing for the team, and he's not pressing like he used to.

This guy thinks he has made it and he hasn't. He is far from a complete article and I can see him being a squad player or sold - would take either one especially since he has the media popularity that MUFC can use to cash in on.

The problem in MUFC is that players like Rashford will never look up to anyone in the team for guidance or criticism. In his head, he thinks everyone is on a level playing field and he doesn't need to be taking orders from anyone but the manager. I honestly wish we had a player like Keane or Robson who would absolutely ruin these big headed players and put them in their place. The last one that could do that was Ibra.

The only player I believe that could demand that type of leadership is Pogba but will the team look up to him and listen to him as a leader when he prances around on social media and gets involved with dances etc.....Nah. The only way PP can gain that respect is if he completely transforms his image and goes from being a media spotlight and focuses on pure raw leadership. Initially players like Rashford may hate him with "who you telling me what to do" but you have to be cruel to be kind and where he might lose favour initially, he will gain it later.

Sorry Rashford but you have potential but you think selfishly and have let the social side of things get to your head. If you want to be effective go back to the basics and learn a thing or two from Chong today where you put in a shift, think of the team first, always. You will be much more respected.

Jose was the right manager for MUFC. He took this shit show of a team to second place and won two trophies with them. Had he of got his Boateng and McGuire signings in that summer, we'd have a back four consisting of Boateng, McGuire, Lindeloff, Bailey etc. Just let that image sink in a second. Can Ole do what Jose did? Does he have that same fire in his stomach to kill off players or is he too nice? In his interviews, I just see a nice guy and not a guy kicking and screaming the dressing room down like LVG, Moyes, Jose and Fergie did......I hope I am wrong. Maybe he (Ole) feels he has to be nice or is scared knowing that the players/fans have set a dangerous precedence by getting Jose binned over the them. Perhaps the players have this false sense of power where they have seen the board choose their concerns over one of the best football managers ever (Jose)?

Who knows what is going on but the thinking and leadership needs to change where MUFC is led properly from the top down, not the bottom up to become the MUFC the world loves again.

I've always had my reservations about this fella, don't think he has much of a clue what he's doing most of the time. Even when he's putting good numbers up, it was more because of his physical qualities, he's an incredibly bad decision maker, one of the worst I've seen in a United shirt.

L'Equipe actually reported that he now earns £7.3m a month.

As poor as Rashford has been recently, he's a academy player thats been rushed into the first team.
The problem is the trash recruitment we have been spending millions on that have been equally poor.

Rashford should be a squad player at this stage of his development, not a United lead striker. Wanting to sell him at 21 is incredibly short sighted, but nothing less then expected then the knee jerking that goes on, on here...

How can he expect to have any idea what he’s doing when can’t control or manipulate the ball well enough to do anything with any purpose.

I’m worried the manager is every bit as taken with this boy as the British media is.

I have noticed that also which is not an encouraging sign but relative to Martial and Lukaku my point stands

What point? That he works harder than Martial? Sure, I'd agree with that, but I think with Lukaku it's more that he's unfit, and even then he's played better than Rashford over the last couple of months or so, and make no mistake I have no time for Lukaku. The main point is Rashford is getting hugely overpushed in this team and it has seen his ego skyrocket and his performances dip along with his overall workrate, what is happening right now is bad for the team and bad for his development.

Exactly, it's infuriating that he's pushing for the contract now, when most of the leeway he gets for playing poorly is because he's local and academy product.

And yes, his shite attitude is also a recent phenomenon. Not good for a someone who occupies this position in the team.
