He tried his kick and run shit vs Pique and was found out from minute one. He’s never going to be a player that is going to get us to win leagues or do anything. His finishing is average and he’s useless inside the box. Just doesn’t know where to stand and lacks the killer instinct.

Don't forget that fraud Young.

But I agree, we're winning nothing with those two as starters.

What about Young? He was good tonight and drove the team forward. I only saw our strikers as being poor tonight.

What game were you watching?:lol: Just go to the Ashley Young thread if you think it's just me.

I have been there and I posted stating I think people are being a little harsh . No way was Young worse than Rashford.

I love Rashford, but I’d rather see him leave than us pay him £300k a fecking week.

You pay that money for a bonafide superstar, not an inconsistent youngster that could become world class.

He was probably the biggest disappointment of the night for me. Shit happens though and it shouldn’t be a surprise that a player of his age is wildly inconsistent.

Why Ole didn't take him off earlier is baffling. Second half performance was just plain crap.

He was our biggest threat first half. He was shit second half though. No need to write hime off. Cant understand the hate for him atm....

He had a bad 5 minutes at the start of the second half, sliced that shot miscontrolled a pass and backheeled the ball to nowhere, and it seemed to affect him for the rest of the game.

His head went, he can often lack composure. Hopefully in time he improves with that.

He was very poor, but can't help but conclude that we have been shit ever since his form went shit. He is still our only real danger up front, and it's quite reflecting on our attacking play. He should be dropped for few games few weeks ago but sadly hardly anyone look up to it to replace him, both Lukaku(aside from those two or three games) have been probably even worse than him.

Another desperately poor game.

He's a one trick pony. He's all about kick and run. When that doesn't work he's in trouble as he's technically not good enough.

IMHO he's genuinely mid table material, there's no way he's getting into a City, Liverpool, Barca, RM, PSG, Spurs, Juve or Bayern team so why do Utd persist with him.

I know he's young but I simply don't get the hype surrounding him.

If he wants a 300,000 k a week new contract he'd better be knocking at least 30 goals a season in and not shinning them over the bar.

I'm not sure how we can rely on him as our main man. Very frustrating player.

Really want him to succeed here but I feel he's being forced to be the main man too early. Also, due to this, he seems getting his ego bigger. There's not a chance we'll win big titles with him and Martial in the team leading the attack.

But they are young, give them a chance, I here some say! They are getting plenty of chances to lead the line. They are frankly not ready. Unless we want to be a just a team that challenges for top 6. How many years do we wait around for them?

I think we need a player that's better than Rashford and Martial to play along with them. Someone who can take responsibility and lead the front line.

Rooney and Ronaldo had Ruud until 2015/16. These guys have barely had anyone.

He thinks hes better than he actually is.
He needs to be brought down a peg or two.
If Fergie was our manager he would be benched for a few games for his stupid long shots and dumb ass freekicks.

Just 6 teams? I'd say about 15.

Better goals+assists to game ratio than Rooney and Ronaldo at 21 they said

Don't think there's a player more confident in the ability he doesn't have than Rashford. People hated Daniel Sturridge for the reason they love Rashford and its baffling as Sturridge has bags more ability than Rashford.

No complaint about his great fighting effort.

1. His decision making though... gahd frustrating. Continue to choose bad decisions -- going for glory instead of you know, play proper football.

I have no problem with his first shooting attempt, the first freekick.

But seriously this is just not his day. Things is not working out for him today, so drop it and play safer.
He opted with difficult techniques today not just once which is fine, but if it fail then stop, but nope, his decision is to let's do it more.

His two FKs is him choosing the powerful shooting + putting a lot of spins on it. Doesn't work once, and his shooting in open play is also off, then stop, just stop. Just go with a safer technique. The more difficult the technique is, the harder it is to pull off. If it's not your day, then just stop it. Try it again in different day.

2. And he doesn't have awareness of his surrounding or something?
Seriously that shit volley is just rubbish. Half-volley is a safer option, but naah, let's go for glory.

3. Minus his shooting and bs decision making, his overall performances is actually really good -- attacking, pressing, workrate, movement, crossing, etc.

Thought he was poor tonight, unfortunately, and possibly the biggest factor in us not getting more out of the game.

Just can’t hold it up.

Poor decision making and poor technique. He's got a long long way to go still, but hopefully he'll at least find some sort of form before it's too late this season.

Cashing in this summer would make plenty of sense - would likely be able to sign Icardi or Jovic with the proceeds.

Welbeck was a far bigger tactical asset at the same age, and Greenwood is going to eclipse him very soon. Rashford and Lingard belong at mid-table clubs - anybody who says otherwise is simply clinging to the romantic notion of having academy lads in the team.

@Isd Strikers are meant to be selfish specially in a team who don't dominate the ball, not entirely brainless too but he is surely not in form.

We shouldn't be so reliant on him at this level at his age, he was very poor tonight and was lucky to not be hooked ahead of Lukaku.

I hope the report I've read from twitter that he will get contact renewal with salary £300k/week is not true. Average performance today.

A bunch of rubbish shots from distance, including a free-kick and one wild shot from inside their area. And an awful clearance in our box, he was fortunate to get a 2nd chance to clear.

Tonight's performance has been standard Rashford for ages. It's been so long now, I can't remember when he actually wasn't dreadful.

the amount of people writing him off is laughable. He is still a kid and still look dangerous albiet not playing well, he need to be more consistent and as some said play it simpler when thing are not kicking in, but yes lets cash in on him !!
