He had average game but once again played key role in first goal which is very important. Number of games he scored or assisted first goal is very impressive.

Neville was on again today about him not really wanting to play as a winger and saying he needs a run as a center forward.

I think his hunger is applied too much in the game.
Yes hunger is great, but it also can take your mind of the game.
Just like Rooney in his earlier years, he will be a cool head soon.
Decent performance by Rashy.

I think the real problem is that Rashford is not even playing a winger. Actually today he was a left midfielder. I understand why he seemed dull going forward, it's just waste of good attacking players to deploy them that deep.
Jose needs to rethink the balance of the team. Of course M&R need to do defensive work, but not as supplement full-backs.

Superb pass, for a while I thought it was actually Young who crossed it. Still getting a buzz watching him play, he's such a talent.

So glad he plays for us, quality quality player. For those who think hes wasted on the wing you need to remember hes just turned 20, all this game time will prove to be valuable to his development. I think he'll still develop into a good striker but for now hes learning the ropes

He looks disinterested. He doesn’t work as hard, is reluctant to take on his man and seems a little lost at times, lacking initiative.
Very evident that some of the fire under his belly has gone for one or another reason. I reckon that we need to stop utilising both him and Martial down the wings but rather have them pair Lukaku, I think it's only natural when player is producing goods his ego grows, Jose should adapt or we're running risk of unsettling two of our best talents if he's not flexible enough.

When Zlatan came in as a sub and Lukaku got shifted to the wing that was probably the moment for Rashford were he felt that Jose has double standards imo, and no matter how hard he works he's not getting his fair chances.

Lukaku should be rested a lot more and it is stupid to have this mantra 'my captain/Lukaku shall always play' he's no messi to warrant that mate.

Terrible play acting in the second half, pretending he had been elbowed in the face. Would have sent him off regardless of who he plays for

This is my biggest concern with him to. I said after the City game he looks like he has no passion and dare I say it, A bit lazy to.

His demeanour reminds me a bit of Januzaj in his last season with us, although I'll probably be proven wrong with him scoring a hat trick next game.

Of course he is disinterested a bit. This was a relatively average winger who got games upfront as a Cf & scored relatively consistently showing predator like instincts in and arpund the box. Scored against the biggest clubs too. Very simple yet effective.

Now he is competing for the second St position with martial but only when we change formation - otherwise he is stuck as a winger.

When I started seeing him focusing on trying to shoot from long range - I was worried for his progression. He obviously wants to score & be a striker but is playing further away from the goal than he wants to be.

After all its not like Jose's partial only squad rotation is fair - players are deemed not good enough even after having good performances (Rashford has been better than Lukaku whenever 352 has been played together) and some players get chances to turn there fortunes around that other players don't get.

Has he been studying Ronaldo? The way he struck the ball there and the one last week that also smashed the post reminded me a bit of him

Was just about to say the same thing, imagine if both of those was just 1 cm across and gone in, it would be reminiscent some of Ronaldo's goals when he was at United.

At just 20 years old, you've got to say targeting is going to improve and he's going to score many of those types of goals in time.

He should just shoot whenever he has any small opportunity.

Frightening to remember the guys just turned 20. If we can keep him and Martial we'll be sorted for the foreseeable future.

Every kid born after 1990 has started doing that once Ronaldo came to the show, hell even I did it six years ago when I was playing semi-pro in Norway and I am 32 now.

His long shots are really really good. They have improved so much. Like said before his technique while striking the ball reminds me so much of United Ronaldo.

Rashford is a great striker of the ball from distance. Unlucky not to score great goals vs Bournemouth and now Bristol.

Feck, Rashford better not become the next Ronaldo otherwive Real Madrid would come on for him.

Anyone else think bar that one shot he has been pretty rubbish tonight? If it wasn’t for that shot and giving the ball away and then not playing it across to Lukaku I’d barely know he was on the pitch.

Yup. I think him and Martial have both been poor yet again. Their lack of consistency is very frustrating.

Agreed he thinks like ronaldo but doesn’t have dribbling and finishing of ronaldo. His long shots have improved a lot though.

I don't know why mourinho can't learn rashford to read game better. When we have counter attack he never looks at other players and instead easy pass he goes in dribble or just waits too long for pass.
Don't like that.

His free kicks, corners and general crossing are pretty dreadful. Must do well in training to keep getting to take dead balls.

His decision making in terrible. What the feck was he thinking of not playing in Lukaku when he was wide open on goal?

Greedy, complacent, casual player with limited technical ability. That causal flick he attempted just before the second Bristol City goal sums him up.

Absolute f'in shite performance from him...Topped off with that bollocks flick on half way to give them the chance to score the winner.

Yeah, I've never criticized Rashford but I feel now is the time. Not liking this arrogance at all, slowing things down to a stand still, constant trying of flicks and shit. Needs to cut that shit out asap.
