So happy to have Rashers with us for the foreseeable future. Got a heck of a career ahead of him, has all the tools necessary and will continue to build on them.

Pretty sure he wasn't acting, he looked injured before he knew he was going ti be subbed.

In 10-15 years time, I have a feeling I'll be calling this the game where Marcus Rashford really arrived. He was all business, focused on the game and played very well. A very mature performance that differentiates him from scrubs like Lingard.

The reverse Lingard.

1 coasted but provided 2 great bits of quality in each half (latter decided the game). The other worked hard but offered no end product (when he should have had a hat trick comfortably).

His fearlessness is reminiscent of young Cristiano Ronaldo. Hope he never loses that.

There was some talk about loaning this guy. Not a chance, shouldn't happen. He's becoming an important part of the team and he's in a great form.

His good game was awarded with a beautiful goal.

If he improves his finishing and build-up he'll be amazing striker. We would have been biting our nails on him like Mbappe if he has been playing for another team.

I'm not worried as he's developing steadily and his finishing will improve overtime. Great talent.

That foul was Zlatan-esque.

Our best forward player by far tonight, but still a little raw with a few aspects of his game.

He's a completely different and more effective player when playing a centre forward, compared to when he's on the wing.

He was allowed on at the end to shake hands so he can't be that injured.

Jose on Rashford "He's a 19 year kid but he's a 19 year old kid in love with football, a kid that finishes the training session and stays half an hour more every day to take free kicks and to wait for the opportunity"

Reminds me a bit of some quote I heard about Beckham once... can't remember which though.

Heat maps show him mostly playing on the left wing tonight.

Wasn't it his best game of the current season?

Not for me. His free kick was fantastic but it was an otherwise OK performance. Better than many this season, but not quite the heights he hit vs Chelsea at OT for one example.

Put it this way, if he didn't score the free kick many would be questioning him.

Jose said he wasn't 100% even before the match started.

Yeah I just saw that. Jose will be impressed by his work ethic and drive. A goal to boot as well. Hopefully injury was mostly down to fatigue so we should rest him against Arsenal ready for the second leg.

And Ronnie.
