He's a decent midfielder with solid all-round ability and plenty of experience playing pressing football, which is much more than any of us have any right to hope for on deadline day on loan. Good signing, if we can pull it off in time.
Romano has already said Chelsea arent involved.
I'd be more assured if Ray Romano made the statement than Fab.
Of all people why anyone asks him on the subject, on any subject is beyond me.Merson isn't on anyone's intelligence radar, that's for sure!
an ok player but can’t take him seriously with that pre teen physiqueJorginho has already joined Arsenal
He was mainly Goretzka's backup (who is injured a lot) but Musiala's emergence as nondroppable has limited his game time options further (as Sabitzer can also play a more attacking role), and Gravenberch is pushing for more time too. He had just a backup role so far and with Laimer coming he will be surplus to requirement completely.Who was he battling for a place against specifically?
So every game for the next weekThat's where you do an obligation to buy if he plays say 15 games.
Takes me back to when I was a kid, the day before we signed Sheringham I spent ages convincing my bet mate he would be the ideal Cantona replacement, spent the next two months convinced I was the next fergieThis one aged well and quickly
This is a very shrewd piece of business!
Chelsea are focusing on other deals so that just leaves us. What time does this have to be completed by?
Of course it's a panic buy.
But that isn't always a bad thing. Currently, with the team being involved in four different competitions, we need bodies. Anyone who's better than McTominay - and that isn't a high bar - is welcome in midfield.

WTF is it with our reactionary transfer dealings?? Are we run by 4-year-olds??
We found out Eriksen was out for the season literally todayWTF is it with our reactionary transfer dealings?? Are we run by 4-year-olds??
Can he play in a midfield 2?

Isn’t that earlier than normal. Did it use to be 11pm?5:00pm UK time (2.5 hours).
For a 4 year this is a great deal.WTF is it with our reactionary transfer dealings?? Are we run by 4-year-olds??

Well, Sabitzer is infinitely better than McTOne of the main differences between us and Bayern is that Bayern would not accept McT even as a groundskeeper for their 2nd team's training facilities.
German media saying the same thing though. Its just Sky keeping Chelsea in for the clickbait
Such a stupid approach trying to sign a midfielder on the day it's announced one of the 3 first choice options is possibly out until May.WTF is it with our reactionary transfer dealings?? Are we run by 4-year-olds??
Doesnt matter. they can sell outside the transfer window.
My fault for taking Jason Burt at face value. That's for incoming players, he would he outgoing. Which means it falls under the English window
How do people not know this?
I'm in two minds - in our current situation he would be welcomed, but then isn't this how we end up with a squad of average players - i.e. are we signing future deadwood? That said I think I'd still go for it due to the Eriksen injury. I wouldn't be looking at a long term deal of course.
Would you say he's more of a CDM or CM
I guess he's of better stamina than Eriksen too?He could definitely play in Eriksen's position. I would say that he definitely is ahead of Fred and McT and that he is on par with Eriksen -- much better all round and defensively, but not as good playmaker.
