Marc Cucurella - World Class Hairdo

How does Cucurella being cup tied for the League Cup impact us? If we are buying him to be our starter LB, there's no way we should be playing our starter LB in that competition anyway.

Translation: "Chelsea want more than £2m for Cucurella so we're seeing what other shite is available for less. "
Nah, its more because he played in the Carabao Cup yesterday and he will be cup tied and won't be able to play when we want to use him instead in that cup.

Reguilon is the worst defensive fullback I've seen in the PL in the last few years.
Seems like we want an attacking one between him, Cucu and Alonso. Mind you, have you seen the likes of Chilwell and Estupinan this season? Practically playing as second strikers.

Seems we could be switching attention to signing Reguilon on loan instead. Cucurella "still in play but complicated by Chelsea appearance last night".

Now this is properly degrading, a total humiliation.

I’d rather get Evra out of retirement, hell even Irwin, that have to watch that useless lump for for us.

That's a very dumb tweet which makes zero sense. Why would Chelsea ever want to loan out a player, who is an occasional starter, on a 6 month loan deal at the beggining of a new season? If Chilwell is injured, which he often is, Cucurella will get many games.

The only bone of contention is the loan fee. The Glazer parasites are penny pinching.

Almost as if it was done on purpose…….

Chelsea: “You want him for the season 7m”

Bozos: “We might send him back in January. So £2m now and if we decide to keep him £3m in January for the remainder…”

Bhoely dummies guide to bending EPL rules: “Start him in the Cup, then they can’t send him back”

I think we can still send him back, just that Chelsea can no longer loan him to another (3rd) club the same season.

It’s actually ridiculous that the Club thought Chelsea would be fine with a 6 month loan. Just take him for the year and be done with it.

Surely playing a youth player, even a shitty one, is better for all concerned than this fecking desperation panic farce.

Woh, what an awful player. Why did Chelsea spend £50mil on him? Also we must be desperate to go for him, looks a liability.

His best ability is to help keep posession without being penerative with it.

"Jack of no trades, master of none"

Hes that bad.

Really don't want Cucurella or Reguilon. Over-expensive and only useful short term.

Seems like Shaw's injury might be quite bad and caused by overplaying which is a worry, but surely that should give Fernandez a chance. And by the sounds of it Malacia will be back after a few games.

Chelsea are probably indifferent to be fair

Cucurella is behind Chilwell, Colwill and Maatsen in the pecking order for the LB spot.

The idea of any loan from Chelsea's perspective would be to get a loan fee, get something back on the wages they're wasting on him and hope to generate interest so they can get rid of him permanently.

The point of the tweet is that we're the ones who'd ideally want it to be a 6 month loan as we wouldn't need him once our other players are fit, so there's no point paying for him any longer than that. However, Cucurella playing the other night means Chelsea are less likely to accept that arrangement, as they'd then be stuck with him from January on, unable to move him on anywhere else. So if they're going to loan him now they'd want it to be for the season, so they're rid of him (and getting at least a contribution to his wages) until they can try to ditch him permanently in the summer.

Reguilon is absolutely crap. At least with Cucherella there is the potential that he might find his Brighton form from somewhere... but with Reguilon we definitely know what we're gonna get (crap)

I'd rathjer just stick with Fernandez than Reguillon. both will make mistakes, one at least has a ceiling

That would be the point of the loan no? Although Reguilon might not be useful even in short term.

If the only option is Reguilon then yes play Fernandez and be done with this nonsense.

What a dumb move from Chelsea playing him last night.

I assume it was absolutely deliberate on Chelsea's part. Chelsea think he's crap and don't want him back in January. Now that he's played for them, it rules out the possibility of a six-month loan deal (you can't play for three clubs in the same season), so we are forced to take him for the full season or turn to someone much, much worse (Reguilon).

Imagine a left-hand side of Reguilon and Sancho.

Might as well flood that side of the pitch it would be so wet.

I am old enough to remember all the scouts on here who fumed when we didn’t sign Reguilon when he went to Spurs.
