Judging by EtH's comments in the presser today we might have a bit more depth for this one. McTominay is expected to join team training before the Leicester game and Antony after the weekend.

Would it perhaps not be advisable to change the title of this thread? Today I read that Saudi Arabia are posed to make a bid for Manchester United, consequently this 'dig' at Newcastle could be seen as somewhat hypocritical in the overall scheme of things.

If this were the matchup for a future final, it might be well be Saudi-Athletico-Arabia vs Mecca-United-Arabia.

Yeah so why would the title be changed now?

Weird

Because if the club do end up owned by an oil rich country, be it Saudi Arabia or Qatar, making a joke like the one in this thread title or indeed making sarcastic attacks on PSG, Mcfc or NUFC will just end up putting egg onto your faces.

If that happens then we can ask @Samid to retrospectively go back and make the necessary adjustments.

To change it now based on rumours would be factually incorrect though and misleading as I’m sure you would agree.

It would be like Arsenal fans complaining about oil money whilst being sponsored by Emirates and having sold their stadium rights off for the privilege.

I really want this. Perhaps even more than knocking Barca out. The momentum we’d get is worth it…

Karius in goal for the final :nervous:

Newcastle going into the final in not the greatest of forms. After so many clean sheets they've started to concede again. A lot of pressure on their Bruno to turn things around next Sunday.

Is it confirmed that the ban applies to the final? Happy days, Dubravka also not eligible. Karius it is!

Pope suspended and Dubravka cup tied  fecking huge for us. Guimaraes hasn't played in weeks, will be fresh physically but hard to get into the rhythm and not sharp we hope. Their confidence fully shattered after today hopefully.

Newcastle had actually started pretty well - hopefully their confidence takes an absolute slamming.

Karius with an absolute world class performance against us.

Pity Dubravka can't play. He looked terrible when he played for us

Longest thread title ever.... ffs.

Maybe you can fit in "former Liverpool FC goalkeeper Loris Karius might play on sunday"

Still feel it's crazy we play twice before the final after Newcastle play today.
