I hate derbies. Always have, always will.

When we were good, there was nothing to gain from victory. We were expected to and even a draw was an embarrassment. Now we're inferior, it's just about trying to avoid humiliation. Which we usually don't.

Actually you’re wrong. We all go into the games against the bigger teams expecting to get leathered but we surprise and either win it or draw. We’ve beat them the last 2 games out of 3 and lost one on pens and we was expected to lose all of them.

Are we playing at home or away to Lyon next Thursday?
If we get past them then we also have Rangers or Bilbao away for the first leg and OT the second. Old Trafford has to be rocking for these games.

Today's game does feel a bit odd with where both teams are in the league and for us, the priority of the Europa League.

We can win this if we play with concentration and focus, we will obviously be pinned down so hopefully we make use of the opportunities we manage to create.

So Shaw is in the squad. Considering de Ligt has an issue, does he start as one of CBs?

It's a real shame he's so unreliable, because on paper, he's an ideal fit for the left centre-back role. He's strong, quick, capable of breaking lines with his passing, and carries the ball with real confidence. In many ways, he'd be far better suited to that position than Martínez, who can sometimes find the wider defensive spaces a challenge.

What a glorious day for the Derby. Currently stood in the sunshine outside The Quadrant pub, and everywhere you turn there's modestly sized perky tits in United tops. 2-1 to the Reds.

Arsenal are a dominant team with great midfield so we let them have the ball in the first half and defended. City are better than they were in December but wonder if there's different approach from Amorim against this City midfield than the Arsenal one.

All things considered this is just an awful match. Both teams with nothing to play for, but you still have all the stress of wanting to win even when the outcome is irrelevant.

Beautiful day so I'll just watch it in the background.

Pretty sure city have top 4 to play for. They’ll be desperate for champions league football next year.

Maguire in for this, what is up with DE Ligt, need him for Thursday. I am also surprised that Garnacho starts today

Once again Amorim opts to start the game with 8 defensive players and then come full time we'll wonder why we struggle to score goals.

Which moron podcaster came up with this line then? Kept seeing the same folk repeating it last game too. Hilarious that people have to add the goalie to the count for dramatic effect
