Weghorst did a good job pulling a defender away to leave a huge gap.
He's our battering ram, defensive midfielder and centre forward who makes runs so the others can play off him. His off the ball work is exactly why we thrive at times.
The Sancho goal is a good example. His run helped dragged the defenders away. Not saying it's elite movement or some 'silent domination' thing but we have no one else in the squad that does those orthodox things, which make us tick.
Of course he can and should be improved on.Maybe give Pellistri a go if he's on the bench?
