Manchester United vs. Bolton Wanderers

I didn't have confidence in Rooney then... No idea why. He clearly has the technical ability to put the ball anywhere he wants. I just wish he would smash it though.

So thanks to Walton Knight's gamble paid off. He took away a clear goal-scoring opportunity but stayed on the pitch and the penalty was missed. That's why all the talk about "only a yellow if it's a penalty" is a load of nonsense.

It's not a terrible penalty but not a particularly good one as well. The height is perfect for a keeper. Same as against City.

I knew Rooney would miss, just had that feeling.

Great save to be fair. But thats a red card all day long, thats as clear as a goal scoring oppurtunity gets.

Yep good save.
Credit to Bogdan.
But that was a red every fecking day of the week.

Rooney looking dodgy at pens at the moment - that miss along with the miss vs City. Maybe should let somebody else have a go for a while

BTW, how the fcuk was Knight not sent off for that tackle???? LAst man goal scoring opportunity .... refs drive you mad with their inconsistency. Still I guess it evens itself out with the controversial (though I think it was) red card for Kompany last week.

Desperately need to convert this possession into a lead soon, else frustration will set in.
