Well given my expectations have to say I am quite pleased with the heart and teamwork displayed today. I am not holding out much hope on the return leg. We could have easily had two more, questionable (in my mind) call by the ref and poor decision by Danny, but that is the way football is.
I said I'd happily take a 2-1 loss before the game. 1-1 with two important players out of the away leg is great!! We have a slight chance now. Defend well there and hit them with a set piece.

Set up perfectly for away leg lads. Hopefully Rooney won't be as poor as he was today, and we won't have the pressure of playing at home on us. Them not having Schwein and Martinez will also, hopefully, play its part. Rafa and Evra (maybe even Buttner on today's performance) will be back, so we could infact go with Kagawa from the start even though I stand by the fact that United are 100000x different to Dortmund and he wont have the same effect he had against Bayern with them.

This performance was definately a con.. Did not see it coming, lads did us proud.
Defending wise yes, attacking wise? Definitely not. Hoofing the ball up to Fellaini the entire time isn't really the United way.

With Evra coming back for next week and hopefully a few more of our defenders recovering from injuries like Rafael we should be a bit stronger at the back, which we will need to be over there. Might mean Moyes can change what is ahead of them as think the team he picked tonight was taking into account the reshuffle at the back.
I think Fergie prepared us today. Not once Moyes showed glimpses of this level of tactics.

We did well, that is the type of performance we needed against City and Liverpool. Valencia is a must in these types of games. I'm proud of the lads, Felliani is awful.

Solid performance, second half was pretty good, Bayern not with their best day, but the 1-1 beside a very good performance from our defenders. Hope we can show a similiar performance away, then I will be fine.

We were playing an absolute juggernaut of a team that steamrolls teams. We did quite excellent in the second half. We played quite well going forward as well considering the opposition.
