Manchester United vs Arsenal (Sat 22nd July, 22:00 UK time)

Really strong Arsenal team, maybe their best team with only Jesus missing. Good test for us. Looking forward to the game.

Not that Timber and Tomiyasu aren't decent but I still think that White (after the season he had) and Zinchenko are the starters. But you're right, it's not far from the best team.

You've missed some decent football considering the performance of the young side in the second half have been better than the first half team's in both matches so far.

Yeah, I have seen those highlights, I am just more interested in how the first team are looking in terms of sharpness and little game player evolutions from the previous season since they are the ones who will be playing come the season proper.

Also helps that this falls on a weekend so I have more free time to burn of course.

you’re right with Zinchenko ofcourse but I think Timber will be better than White when he is settled down. Will be interesting to see Odegaard in the position of Xhaka and Havertz in the 10 position. Or will Havertz play in Xhaka’s position?

Bit gutted Onana’s not going to feature but was always going to be unlikely. Should be a good game, really interested to see how Mainoo gets on against a near full strength Arsenal side.

Yeah was more hope than expectation

yes. Full strength:
Rice, Havertz and Odegaard.
Not exactly full strength, just looks strong. Partey, Zinchenko, White and Jesus missing from strongest XI (I think). I don't know much about Timber, maybe he can take White's place soon. I might catch some of this, should be good.

Super excited to see how Mainoo fares in that dm role against really talented players. Wish Rashford was playing up front instead of Sancho though, his being a false 9 completely ruins our play in the final 3rd. Arsenal's team is pretty much their first XI with the exception of Zinchenko and Jesus, so this will be a very good indicator of our level.

This is a strong Arsenal team but don’t forget that Rice are Havertz are brand new to the team and are starting in midfield. Hopefully they start building their relationship with the rest of the team quickly.

Casemiro can't get a look-in while Rice starts, guess the debate is settled ! :wenger:
This could be our last US game with a big part of the Barcelona squad being sick.

Just cause ye ain't got nobody on Kobie Mainoo's level lad

This old dude crazy as hell. I like him though because he made the presenter uncomfortable

how many pre season games have Arsenal had?
The team further along usually has a huge advantage at this stage of pre season

Not sure why i am nervous for this. Result does not matter.
Mainoo will for sure have a proper test tonight.
