Manchester United vs Arsenal (Sat 22nd July, 22:00 UK time)

First time he's kicked a ball in weeks, chill out.
So? If he's playing poorly hes playing poorly.
Im not saying he's a bad player, just calling a spade a spade. Hes off the boil so far this half.

Also it's not the first time he's kicked a ball in weeks.

Dalot is pretty bad today too.

We've been so dogshite in this second half. Rashford is playing drunk among others.

What were you expecting? It’s their first game back so of course they are gonna be rusty/out of touch against a side that are further ahead in their pre-season prep. Only Forson & Amad, before his injury, have had minutes in this pre-season for this 2nd half team. The rest haven’t played in over month.

That is the most likely trio for sure. Personally not a huge fan of Mount in that cm position like we probably are going to see. Hopefully he wins me over.
Mount was quality in there today, press resistant and excellent off the ball with his pressing and work rate. People ware weird but once they actually see him more, they'll appreciate him.

We have but we’re playing two players who will not get a minute next season + a few we probably want to get rid of.

Wouldn't say we've been dogshite, defended strongly and they haven't looked like threatening despite having more possession but yeah Dalot and Rashford look like their first minutes of pre-season while Arsenal kept their strongest side out there for most of the half.

We thought iqbal would get games and look how that panned out
Its obvious ETH rates Mainoo higher, he was on the bench many times last season ahead of Iqbal. He named dropped him in an interview before the FA cup final alongside Garnacho when discussing united tradition of producing its on players, but he's playing alongside senior pros already, Iqbal only featured in those second teams alongside the likes of Savage and Shoretire.

Mutv commentator properly loves lindelof, and despises havertz. Agree with his assessment of havertz but lindelof def not as good as he's suggesting
Of the two centre halves who came on for us he has been the the better one. He also had a really good end to last season. So yeah based on performances he's been good.

Eriksen's bald spot! Looks like he's aged 20 years since end of the season

In a few weeks he'll look like this

Arsenal's defending is comical, they regularly seem to get caught out by high balls and bouncing.

Second half showing from us hasn't been great, some nice counters but the ability to build from the back is missing, and it's clear that several of the players haven't kicked a ball in a while.

Still, we've been pretty solid, have had a few nice moments, and it's been great to give minutes to everyone.

Pretty much all the players just back for this have been shite. Shaw very poor in the opening 20 for example but yeah it’s pre season and the first game for them, it’s about fitness not top class performances at this stage.

I was expecting him to be a bit better than he has, even granting the fact that this is his first game back. I'm not being unreasonable, McTominay has been fine.

It's not a big issue, Rashford will get there. But if he's playing poorly hes playing poorly, I have no idea why some posters are so sensitive about it.

With Arsenal defending then, we looked completely lost.
Something to keep an eye on as we've been hopeless against low blocks for years, doesn't seem we've learnt how to deal with that still.

Only 1 of our front 5 is a starter.

Some Arsenal players getting entire 90 min of play. Did someone tell Arteta its a friendly?

Arsenal can still win this game after a penalty shoot out even though they already lost the game by 2 goals. This is so funny
