Manchester United vs Arsenal 24/10/04

My honest assessment of the game is that we deserved it. Okat Rooney went over easily for the penalty, just like Pires did against Pomey last year and Campbell should know better than to stick his leg out. If that was debatable then the second incident was not. Cole clearly took out ronaldo and that would have been a penatly that even Wenger couldn't have questioned, but he never gave it. So on balance fair.
We still lack a bit of Cohesiveness between our midfield and attack and Rooney and Ruud are not gelling as yet. They will i'm sure but it's taking time.
For all Arsenal's skill and confidence they showed very little going forward and were left lumping hopeful balls forward.
Henry showed once again that he is not up for the big physical games and Smith is maturing with every game. He was excellent coming off the bench and getting in to it immediately.
Event the most one sided Arse fan, and there are plenty on here, cannot surely deny that we earned this one by out playing them, out muscling them and generally being better where it counted.

Nah. They'll put it down on luck. Like I know they would.

Feckers.

Oh how short the memory.
Notice not one Arsenal fan made reference to Toure's oscar attempt in the last minute, or the fact that Arsenal had about 4 shots on goal in the entire match

I didn't see the game, only read it onthe live text with ESPN. From what I understood, G. Neville should have gotten his walking papers, Carroll played a damn fine game, and Toure, at least, did the Greg Louganis routine. No question about the penalty, either. According to the stats I saw, Arsenal got around 11 shots, not 4. But zero in the net is the same no matter how many my team launched.
Good result to you, but Arsenal will get revenge on Feb. 1st.

Carroll had to make ONE SAVE all game long..!

Like I said, I couldn't view the match but, rather, had to rely on the printed text from ESPN. Any dissimilarity between that analysis and yours is probably premised on your MU myopia.

Don't understand why anyone is saying that GNev should've been sent off. He was outstanding. Both teams were as 'bad' as each other. Penalty given wasn't a penno but the one NOT given was defo a penno. All even's out at the end.
Not United's fault that Arsenal are a bunch of slap arsed cry babies
