yer not Boca fan I take it. Werent their fans put under the spotlight in one of the episodes of that Beeb docu about hooligans? charming lot....

Dont know if somebody has mentioned this but apparently Boca's kit and boots were in a luggage mix up and they may play in United's away shirt. The had to train with borrowed boots and equipment yesterday.

It could be United vs United today.

where is Ariel Carreño today ?

Still with the Boca scum, though their newest starlets are Tevez and ex-Rosario Central and Fiorentina playmaker Ezequiel González.

Vodafone Match Preview

United complete their preparations for the 2002/03 season with their final pre-season friendly against Boca Juniors of Argentina.

The game is a benefit match to raise money for UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, and is Manchester United's only home pre-season match.

Boca Juniors have produced some of the greatest all-time and modern footballers in the world - outstanding players such as Gabriel Batistuta, United's Juan Sebastian Veron and the great Diego Maradona.

The match should prove to be a fantastic day to celebrate the United for UNICEF partnership, whilst also providing a stern final test before the season gets underway.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is looking forward to the match. He said: "The game against Boca will be the highlight of our summer. With the fans' help, we hope to raise much-needed money that will go towards improving the education of some of the world's most vulnerable children."

The UNICEF game promises to raise plenty of cash for a good cause but also offers United fans the opportunity to see their favourite players perform at Old Trafford.

Superstars such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have participated in campaigns for UNICEF in the past and will all be on the Old Trafford turf for their final summer workout.

Sir John Waite, Chairman of UNICEF UK, summed up the feeling prior to the match when he said: "Football supporters from around the UK will be able to join us at Old Trafford and celebrate the enormous success of United for UNICEF."

Manchester United Radio will be back on the air to provide full coverage of the match on 1413AM. Send your requests and dedications to matt.proctor@manutd.co.uk.

ManUtd.com will be auctioning the actual shirts United and Boca stars wear in the game, in aid of UNICEF, on our auctions site following the game. Keep an eye on the QXL page for details.
