Chicago or Dallas would be great sites for a 4th city (or to replace Boston). Both cities have stadia that can hold over 60K each. Denver would be another city.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Unfortunately, Soldier Field in Chicago is being renovated and won't be ready in July 2003--that must be the reason that Chicago wasn't considered. The Chicago Fire (MLS) are currently playing in a small college stadium here in Naperville, Ill. Having United here in Naperville would be a dream come true, but the capacity is only 15,000!

The Rose Bowl is about a mile northwest of Old Pasadena.

Burbank (BUR) Airport is conveniently close by (12 mi to the west).</strong><hr></blockquote>

Yep, I remember going there in 1992 to see The Cure in concert......

For those of you making plans to travel in for the Pasadena match...don't stay in Pasadena. It's a not a very impressive area of LA. The only cool spot is maybe 3 or four blocks in a section called Old Pasadena.

Your best bet is the Days Inn on Santa Monica Blvd. in Santa Monica. It's only a few blocks from the 10 Frwy. (20 min. ride in car. 1 1/2 by bus) Santa Monica has plenty of great places for food and nightlife- the ocean is a 5 min bus ride -Venice Beach 10 min by bus.

If you're into large cool musuems The Getty is the place to go....free admission by bus, reserve parking 10 or 15 dollars...there's a long waiting list for parking, many months.

If anyone needs more info on anything else don't hesitate to ask.(I've lived in LA for more than 7 years).
