Neglecting the fact that we would be funded by blood money. Backed by some of the world’s most fundamental and violent regimes with no respect for human rights.

Genuine question, do you think anyone becomes a billionaire without trampling on people? (outside of inheritance)

Ronaldo and Messi before long I’d guess ;)

The worrying thing, is even if they did rack up a million each, and combine forces, they'd still only have half of the value of the club!

It said it all when the "Red Knights" a set of business men couldn't even dream of raising enough to buy the Glazers out, and that was about 8 years ago when the value was way lower.

Well the value has fallen $900m since last February, keeps going south we can have a whip round.

Oddly enough, when people complain about the ethics of takeovers like City etc, the response is that they are bringing money into the game so the FA/PL aren’t going to object. Yet these leeches have been taking billions out for what, 13 years and counting?
Yes that´s really what bothers me the most, lacking behind other clubs in infrastructure and industry leading technology should never be an issue at Utd that isn´t acceptable. The owners really have a lot to answer for.

This is where Middle Eastern money would help. Arabs are all about image. It would become a todger flopping contest and any potential suitor from that neck of the woods would just HAVE to get the biggest and best facility in the PL. Plus we'd get bankrolled rather than being a laundering vehicle for Team Glazer.

Whatever your feelings about the morality of such a take over, the stark reality is, that this is probably the only way that the Glazer's will ever be removed before they have totally destroyed the club.

Pretty much, realistically it is the only exit I see from this current nightmare. Really depressing.

Fans need to be heard more. It's so good that new reports are coming out each day on the poor running of the club by the Glazer's. Fans need to react to this.

Call me crazy or naive but, yes, there is a difference in my mind between Bill Gates or Steve Jobs (or even the Glazers) and some Saudi prince; a very big difference.

What about Jeff Bezos? He sent dick pics to a woman he was having an affair with which is much worse than anything the Saudi's have done.

I know spending money on OT right now in a way might seem stupid, but I assume United - like most large organizations with a lot of capital has a seperate pot for real estate.

The club can use any positivity it can create right now imho so at least instead of expanding perhaps it should spend a bit of money to rehab parts of the existing structure to add a bit of additional pride and perhaps lure in those we need to bring in who may otherwise be turned off a bit at the moment.

Sack Ole now, this would never have happened with a good manager in charge.

on top of this - we are one of the worlds richest clubs and have a proven track record of overpaying for players.

its also obvious to everyone other than our own fanbase how shite our squad is and how desperate we are for players

What are you waffling on about?

I think most of us have noticed the limitations of the current squad.

The stadium is a shit hole. The lick of paint in the tunnel was only done for the ‘tunnel-cam’ for the launch of the YouTube channel.

We are the ONLY big club that hasn’t had a major revamp or up uplift of their stadium in the last 10-15 years.

Have you seen what Barca and Madrid have in the works? Why aren’t we doing something similar?

“biggest club in the world” yeah fecking right.

Yup, looks like they are planning for the future while we are living in the past.

I’ve said it before with the land that the club owns it should really look to do a Spurs and build a new stadium on the same site just 100 yards further away so it can be all level without any obstacles.

The reality is the club needs new ownership in the Saudi Prince region to make it happen.

With Malcolm’s children still running the show we will continue to see weeds coming out of the concrete in the Sir Bobby Charlton stand.

Why do you need Saudi-type owners to build a new stadium? If Spurs did it (with far less income than United), why can't United also afford it?

Of course it would likely mean a reduction in net transfer spending for a few years - and maybe also a reduction in your lucrative wages offers - but that's the price of building for the long-term.

Because our owners are leeching the money that could be spent on a stadium or a proper upgrade out of the club in interest fees for nothing to the club and dividends unfortunately.

I would imagine United would go for a 90-100k capacity were it ever likely to happen thus costing well over a billion pounds.

With our owners and their cost cutting along with huge debts this makes it virtually impossible even if they ended up selling a portion of the club to investors.

If we had prioritised this back in 2013/14 instead of wasting millions on flops then we would have started to see the long term benefits.

They've never shown an interest in improving OT. The quadrants were given the green light before the leeches took over. Anyway a new stadium will cost a billion quid...I can't see the money men wanted to pay that off.

Are they still the owners of Tampa Bay?? I wonder what Buccaneer fans feel about them. But a club like United that led the field is playing catch up. Who would've thought?

Since the war, United were always ahead of the rest. Always. This period is the first time since then that we are trailing behind lesser or even equally resourced clubs.

Absolute disgrace how the FA sat on their hands and watched this takeover. They didn’t hang about to squash it when big Rupert put in an offer to buy the club.

The 80s were far more fun.

Sorry, but that’s bollocks. We might have had the biggest attendances & revenues, but not always the best facilities by a long shot. Not saying that Old Trafford doesn’t need a revamp, but I’ve seen the stadium in much worse shape. Where as the training facilities have never been better. Mind you, Old Trafford was much more fun back in the day.

Carrington is no longer respected apparently mate, how much investment do you think the glazers have allowed there if the golden goose on tv every week in front of hundreds of millions on tv allowed to have leaking roofs?

Carrington is a state of the art training center and medical facility. Up there with the best. That’s a fact. We used to train at the old The Cliff...

I know that, I’ve played at the cliff. We moved to Carrington nearly 20 years ago.

It’s no longer state of the art.

It’s no longer the facility it was 20 years ago either.

They got a few new iPads under Moyes I believe and one of those machines that freeze your bollocks off.

It’s not state of the art no more, if it was we would have heard about it under these media whores.

They’ve invested millions & millions in the place. I work for the places sponsor. I can understand the argument about revamping OT, but the reality is the owners have invested heavily in the training facilities like it or not. AND Old Trafford has certainly not always been ‘industry leading’ since the war.

As @clarkydaz said I’ve heard quite a few people are no longer impressed. They may have spent a few million but I bet it’s embarrassing compared to citys and any new training ground.

I wasn’t arguing about old Trafford I knew it better in the 80s and 90s than I do now, preferred it then but it was as old and crusty as I am now :D

Fact is we are being left behind in every respect.

Sure i recall jose wasnt impressed with carrington. Like the club it has stood still in time

The whole place has been completely revamped the 20 years they’ve been there and every year the spent a fortune on new apparatus & improvements. That’s the reality.
