I suggest United just close the Sir Bobby Charlton stand off completely, block off access and just give out red hard hats on matchday. Players too. Much less hassle

It needs upgrading but start from scratch elsewhere is a bit excessive if you ask me.
Considering friendlies around the world are often £100 onwards, an average of £200 for a league game is more than reasonable.
Don't forget that people are no expected to go watch every game on this "tour", but maybe a few in cities close to them.

I don't think there is a single element of the stadium that is close to that old. The stadium has been renovated/upgraded countless times since then with the most recent massive overhaul in the 90s.

If it was done on a tour basis then I’m sure about £100 wouldn’t be impossible but £200 is simply too much,£100 is actually too much but in other countries you could get that.
I think it’s hypothetical anyway as I don’t see that happening for an entire season.

Now, corporate and VIP tickets are another matter, but you can't have a crowd solely made up of corporates, it would kill the product the PL has built.
There's one bit that is supposed to be original; the old players' tunnel in the south stand. Even that has been altered over the years.
We are not going to spend the whole season on tour and charge everyone around the world the same price as in OT.
If we somehow play all 19 "home" PL matches around the world whilst OT is redeveloped, you can be sure we'd be charging a lot more.

WE are charging £100+ in friendly games in the US and Asia, charging 50% more for a EPL game seems reasonable.
Note that I said a £200 average, not £200 bottom price.

The South Stand was build in the 60s. That's what we want to replace.
The rest of the ground was all build post 1992.

On this hypothetical tour of a season, "locals" are not expected to attend every game, and GBP100 has been the going rate, doesn't matter if I think it's reasonable...

I can truly say that Old Trafford is fast becoming a relic compared to the best stadiums in Europe.
It is great to have history and prestige but there is a real need to get our stadium into the 21st century before we start the 22nd..

After moving across the pond and seeing ticket prices for sports here, football ticket prices are cheap as chips!

Since I’ve moved to NAmerica I’ve seen how sports ticket prices are priced so so differently. Mates in Toronto are shocked when I tell them how much games to United cost (so low). Crappy tickets to crappy games (nba, nhl, mlb, etc) are like $150+!How much do you reckon we can get away with charging?

That reminds me of a stadium tour I went on 18 months back. When coming out of the tunnel a glance to the right (Sir Bobby Charlton stand) I noticed weeds sticking out of the concrete by the first few rows.

Anyone who genuinely thinks the painting schedule around the stadium of a billion dollar sports team is emblematic of some nefarious behind-the-scenes issue needs to get their head checked. One look at the guy I quoteds Twitter feed shows he's just a frustrated muppet who's angry because we haven't spunked £200 million on a shiny new player but if you want to jump into bed with him then that's entirely your prerogative.
