Vinicius must be terrible then,.

He scored 21 last season.
Rashford in the league had 11 goals and 11 assists, 21 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.
Vinicius in the league had 3 goals and 5 assists, 6 goals and 7 assists in all competitions.
Rashford played 8 more games but still has significantly better stats. More than triple the goals and just over twice the assists of Vinicius so I don't see your point.
Rashford played 18 more games than Cavani and had 4 more goals and 9 more assists. Rashford and Cavani last season had a similar goal involvement per game, saying Cavani is light years ahead of him at present is simply not true, especially as Rashford was not fully fit for half of last season and was playing through injury at times.

Rashford was on 20 goals in February his slow end to the season was mainly down to injury else he would have hit 30 goals from the left wing with ease.
Crazy how Rashford is perceived to have had a terrible season.

Hes a good player but we are set with wingers now with Sancho. Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, James, Amad, Pogba occasionally on the left... literally we'd need 2 of the senior guys to leave for it to make sense to buy another.

- The offer can have something to do with Rashford (injury) and/or
- The situation with Pogba (a trade involving him).
- Maybe Martial. RM needs a striker

I rate him and think he's in similar stage to Ronaldo around 2004-05 (not saying he's ever going to reach Ronaldo numbers though).
Makes some excellent runs beyond the full back but generally the finishing and composure of final ball lets him down. Does have the odd game where it all clicks down as any Liverpool fan on here would confirm from the CL meeting....

What I like about Vinicius - and what none of our current wide options do - is that he puts in a crazy shift out of possession.
His pressing and defensive work is genuinely brilliant and way, way, way better than you'd assume when you think of a stereotypical Brazilian winger.
He's also got huge potential in an attacking sense, but still isn't quite putting it together.

Hmm… Actualy I think it’s more into this than I first thought; it makes sense. Junior is a young LW with extreme skills. Rashford is probably not match fit before November. At the same time I assume Ole isn’t super happy with the number of CF alternatives. Rashford and Greenwood are flexible and could play both striker and wing; can rotate with Cavani, Sancho and eventually Junior.
Junior will make us more flexible regarding rotation up front.
I would prefer we sell James and replace him with Junior.

I think we have more than enough depth in terms of wide attackers, and specifically young wide attackers or project players that need to improve without adding another one.
We'll have Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, Sancho, Amad, we have Shoretire and Pellistri coming through, we have Dan James who is staying.

Wouldn’t mind him here as he’s a genuine wide man who can stretch games when confident. A different asset to the other wingers here and suits the English league.
No thanks, not required. Money should be put towards midfielders next once Sancho and Varane are complette.
Just here to say that anyone who thinks replacing Martial with Vinicius would make us stronger is mad. Martial has about as many goals as Vinicius this season, and last season he scored over 20. Vinicius plays like Werner but more so, and you guys would hate his guts if he played for us. His final ball is awful!
Don’t think we will spend any more money on another young forward or wing forward with no end products. We already have of plenty of those.

His invisible performance in the Copa America Final recently put me off completely. If that's his usual standard, this guy cannot even hold a candle to Martial.
