Manchester United Kits 2017/18

People, all I want to know is when does the Chevy sponsorship end?

Can't wait to see that gold and chrome abomination off the United jersey.

It runs until 2021, but theres talk that both sides are interested in renewing it for another 7 years after that. More money per year but the logo will be slightly bigger.

Haha

Looks like it'll be a fair while before we have a nice kit again.

Look at this beauty for next season!

This one looks a lot better than the one with the dark blue stripes IMHO. After all this speculation it'll be interesting to see what we're going to get in the end. Does anyone know when the kits are usually officially announced?

Think it was mid-may last season. If I recall correctly many teams also plays in the new kit in their last game of the season? Cant recall if United have done so for the past years though.

This is the third kit:

Very disappointed. Not a fan of the pattern, and expected more gold details. Instead we got three lines in blue on the sides again.

It might look better in person but I'm disappointed too, that fan concept on previous pages was so much better.

Whats with the adidas parley were it usually says climacool/ adizero ?

And can anyone enlighten me on for the oceans on the inside collar ?

Parley are a charity that care for the sea and the pollution caused that Adidas collaborate with to make trainers (Ultraboost recently) they use plastic that has been found in the sea (by Parley) and recycle it to make trainers.

Now obviously moving into football shirts now which is a good thing imo.

Kit is pretty unimpressive tbh. Hate that bubbly design, they've used it before on last season's away. If it had have been just navy without a design it would have looked better. No problem with the stripes though, I felt it would have looked a bit too much with gold stripes but that looks fine to me.

Everyone knows navy and black is a no go. Even the farmers here in Ireland stopped making that rookie mistake.
Get with the times, man! Black and Navy are fine to go together now.

Eh that simpler navy and gold kit is infinitely nicer than the one with a lot of cheap, gold detailing? Probably our nicest one we’ve had since we got into bed with Chev. Black + navy = smart as feck.

That home kit video is gotta be fake.

Aren't we supposed to be having UBER as our sleeve sponsor?

That third kit looks great, btw. Hope that's not fake.

Another season - another mass moan about the Cevvy logo.... get over it lads, seriously. They pay decent money to appear on the shirt and obviously want to stand out, blending in completely is the exact opposite of what they want and pay for. No point moaning like every single shirt leak thread

Do majority like it? No. But every post is the same, we all think it for the last number of years. It ain't going to change.

Pretty uninspiring navy kit to be honest. With a navy and gold color scheme it could have been very classy. This also may be because it's not the "real deal" but the kit looks so boxy, too. As someone with Japanese ancestry and thus a very thin frame, the fact that a lot of kits these days fit a size or two too large makes it really hard to spend the money on one.

There were those pics of Sanchez who was wearing it.
Uh, he was wearing a parka in those pictures....

Haha
Most articles I've seen on it suggest Chevrolet views it as a failure

I'd imagine they do view it as a failure, they signed the deal to promote their expansion into Europe and then shortly after they pulled the plug on their brand in Europe. So they are paying £50m a year to advertise a brand in Europe that no longer exists there.

My other post was a joke.

Never seen a kit that has satisfied everyone.

Yeah, but why can't Adidas get it right? I've a very specific idea and my idea should chime with everyone else's if these hack sportswear companies were worth anything. I mean, I work in an office and even I know this is rubbish.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuurgh. The Internet.

My job has nothing to do with fashion, I really like the look of the navy+black kit though. I actually prefer it to the blue/gold one.

Would be happier if it didn't have the "pinstripe" style across the shirt, just makes it look tacky.

Not bad, first time I ignored the log in a first impression
Edit: logo
 you could’ve just edited and corrected the original effort! But yeah, same with me. I like everything about it to be honest, I’d buy it if I was 12

I’m a sales agent and one of my principles is a clothing company. Yeah it is.
Unless my eyes deceive me, this debate seems moot. The kit isn’t black and navy, it’s navy and dark blue (or whatever...two shades of blue).

Better than this seasons third kit. i like it but it also feels a bit of a rehash of the black/navy oje from a few years ago.

I much prefer the fan mock up with gold stripes and v neck collar.
