Updated 04.01.15 v Yeovil Town (cup)

We did what we had to do while getting certain players more fit.

Was Wilson's not a Di Maria assist? He passed it Wilson who hit it, back from the keeper and it's in.

Updated 08.02.15 v West Ham United (league)

Van Gaal out if we don't get top four.

Updated 11.02.15 v Burnley (league)

This is the first time I've actually felt bad for another team after beating them, but Burnley should of got something here. Van Gaal needs to sort his tactics and the way the team is playing out. Two goals for Smalling and two assists for Di Maria make them the men of the match, even though Smalling leaves a lot to be desired with his leadership in defence. We need to improve. And Fast! But hey, we're third and gained +2 goals on Southampton as they drew to West Ham somehow.

This. I thought it at the time as well, plus the Caf player profile stats have him on 9 too.

Thing is with Wilson's goal is the fact that Wilson basically assisted himself after the rebound from his shot went back to him. To me, Di Maria did not get the assist.

Fair enough! Weird thing is though, if you go on the Premier League website, Di Maria is still listed on 9 assists even without this QPR one which perhaps you did rightly not include.

Anyone else think it's appalling that we're midway through February and we've only got one player in double figures and only just.

*sigh*

Seems Dunk is a newbie again, so lets update this.

For someone who's been ultra-inconsistent for the bulk of the season, Di Maria has done exceptionally well to put up 10 assists. Especially impressive when we account for the lack of goal scoring decisiveness evident by our primary strikers which deflates his potential figures. Can't wait for him to hit his stride once again and be a 10 goal + 20 assist player like we thought he would turn out to be.

Pretty stoked with Herrera's production in limited game-time too. When was the last time a Manchester United central-sorta midfielder broke the 5 goal + 5 assist barrier ? Scholes 2007/ 2008 IIRC. Or was it as recently as Carrick 2009/ 2010 ? Anyway it's been a while.

Carrick did it in 2006/07. Scholes was more recent, he did it in 2009/10. Park in 10/11, as well as Kagawa/Giggs in 12/13 did it too, but probably not central-sorta mids you had in mind. ;)

Alright thanks ! Sorts the fudged up numbers for me. :D
