Manchester United, 2018-2021 Net Spend Champions

I'm more interested by the relatively small amount of arrivals (17th) and departures (19th). I wonder why that is?
Chelsea numbers, and City to a lesser extent, probably count their loan battalions

Yeah I didn't mean to compare us to those two. Chelsea's numbers will be stacked because of their buy-to-loan-to-sell system.

It's us being lower than, well, most teams in the league that seems a bit strange. I'm inclined to think we buy fewer players because we usually pay more for them, and also that we also sell less because we don't recoup fees that are worth the hassle. Admittedly this is just an assumption.

Edit - Seems this is basically what the thread is about. I hadn't checked it since posting.

This is fake news spread by the envious bitter ABU media trying to discredit us and make out the likes of Chelsea and City aren’t trying to buy success at our expense also ask yourself where did our income come from we generate it ourselves chelsea and city rely on their sugar daddies we have owners who skrimp on transfers to line their own pockets we were the last team to win stuff the right way how much did becks cost us what about scholesy and giggsy and keano nothing

Sorry, we started with a better squad than City a decade ago? Not sure about that.
I think so. In 2010-2011 we were champions with 9 point advantage, in 2011-2012 they were champions in GD, and in 2012-2013 we were champions with 12 points average. We had a far better coach, but I also think we had a better team. That doesn't mean that they were bad, far from it, but we had a lot of quality too.
