Fellaini has played the majority of games under Jose so I'm not sure where they are drawing the conclusion he could be sold. Selling one of Darmian or Rojo makes sense but no need to get rid of the others.

I can see several of these players moving on next summer, which is a pretty big indictment of the club's transfer record under LVG. Club spent > 10M on eight different players for a total in the vicinity of 200M pounds under LVG (I'm not counting Shaw and Herrera, who I understand LVG effectively inherited) and the only ones who seem to have worked out are Blind (a versatile and valuable squad player IMO) and Martial (a player with monster potential but still very young and raw). Moyes was a ditherer but at least the players he did buy (or lined up in the case of Shaw and Herrera) have actually contributed and stuck around.

Clear out in January sounds risky, especially with good old luck with the injuries. Let's add Bailly going on AFCON stripping defensive options to bare minimum.

The difference being is Benteke is premiership proven and a club like Palace were desperate for a striker. Liverpool were refusing to budge on the fee as well, that's the reason for his fee.
Are those figures in pounds or Euros? Either way I can't see a club spending 'at least' £17.5m on Schneiderlin when United paid around £25m and he's done next to nothing for a season and bit. Same for Depay.
Obviously 'if' United are looking to offload players, then China will be a market that would be very interested in our players.
And also pretty obviously I cannot give examples of current players who left the club for China, as well like they're still contracted to the club. So I gave examples of players in their prime who currently ply their trade in China. Nani etc are completely irrelevant to our discussion, as they didn't go to China. Martinez etc are as they play in China, went for very good transfer fees and are on astronomic wages.
I think no club in its right mind would pay anything for Jones after his injuries and performances when fit in the last years.

You're just not getting it, none of the ex United players chose to go to China to make money which they could have done, they chose to stay slightly relevant by staying in an European league. Just because the Chinese clubs are willing to pay the transfer fees and wages doesn't mean the players will drop their hat and move to China.
We got a fee for Evans and there are plenty of injury prone players who move around from club to club. Our fans being very harsh on players being injured, you'd think they break themselves intentionally.

This is true, those that are good enough, that is. Young's versatility is a big plus on the bench too, as is Darmian's ability to play both sides.
I would sell only one of Young and Darmian. If Darmian is still recovering from LvG and can be mended, then I'd keep him because of age, but if Mourinho thinks Darmian is knacked for some reason, keep Young.
Why exactly is Fellaini included in this list when he's clearly very close to the starting eleven? The others are all bit-part players who struggle for game time. There's also no chance in hell that we either sell all of those players in January or recoup even close to £100m for them.

Pounds. Didn't Everton want to get Schneiderlin for around 24m in the summer? Even if these guys underperformed, you are underestimating how much money teams have and will spend on players... Fecking Crystal Palace signed Benteke for 35m or so, so of course, Schneiderlin and Memphis would be able to get most of the fee back if not all of it since we didn't spend that much really.
We're terrible at selling players (and tbh pretty terrible at buying them too) so there's no way in hell we're getting 100m euros for that pile of dross. Even a competent selling club would struggle.
Our players who were moved on in 2015 prior to the Chinese player splurge in Europe, cannot be sold again by United in 2016. I gave recent examples of players who are around their prime (who you stated would not move to China).
Try working with a few dates with things that happened on those dates, not just oh I say this will never happen so it won't.

Why is everyone so ready to sell Memphis? At the moment he is behind Martial and Rashford for the left wing, he is not demanding to start and he is young. Why not keep him as a back-up with the hope that he might fulfill his talent? Are we 100% sure he won’t make it here?
Quotes attributed to him recently, he'll be looking to move if he's not getting regular game time. In addition to him not looking as effective as either of the younger options ahead of him. I'd say it's pretty much nailed on, if he wants to develop as a player, he needs to play. I'd hate to think he's a player who'd just be happy with occasional turnouts or just sit back & take the cash like Basti!
I personally gave up on him. He literally had one good performance since he joined us. Every time when he gets a chance he blows it. He's nothing more than a Bebe on steroids.

Impossible to tell - if 2-3 P.L clubs fight for a couple of these players (like Jones or Schneiderlin) - we could easily get £15-20 million for them.
Fellaini has done well under Mourinho and Schneiderlin is a decent squad option. We need the depth.
The valuations some of you guys are putting next to Depay's name are crazy.

Its a strange one because there is glimpses of potential... perhaps a loan or a low sales price with a buy back clause might be the best resolution for all parties?

Martinez isn't and never has been a Chelsea player, simply a player in his prime who moved for a very big fee and wages.
Thread is on selling current United players. Pointing out that such players who may be moved on, would be very desirable to Chinese teams, who would pay a premium to get them. You then get out your know it all ball and state that players in their prime don't move there and that the players wouldn't be interested. Enjoy your opinion. And study up on time at some point as 2015 isn't 2016.

Nothing, with Stretford pulling the strings we will lose an awful lot of money getting rid of Rooney regardless of fee.
We still "owe" him 40m ish in unearned wages - Stretford/Rooney, despicable twats they are will ensure we get very close to paying that off however soon it is.
