Sounds like a perfect fit at United.

Its quite shockign how poor Lyon have been in the league the last couple of seasons when you consider the talent at the club:
Paqueta, Guimaraes have been amongst a few farely big sales the last couple of seasons yet they still have...
Boateng, Fofana, Faivre, Aouar who are all good players and they have also signed some good players this summer and this is on top of
Cherki - See so often how he is the next best thing and convinced its fake news and my pc has been hacked by Russians as I am not even sure he exists, never seen him even in a squad for them
Lukeba - I was mightily impressed with him in the European games last summer, looks a rally good young centre back and I can see him moving if he continues, his battle with Antonio was really good last year, great strength for a young defender
Caqueret - There jewel for me and seemingly one of the most under rated players about. Only saw AC Milan tentatively linked with him and then he signed a new contact. There are a few really good young players in France at the moment, behind Camavinga he has been my midfield choice for a while now and still feel he would complement our midfield so well now.
As for Gusto, behind Livramento who of course got injured, Gusto would have been the right back I would have signed in the summer....but Im not sure I believe those links as first seen of links with him at all. Whenever I have seen Lyon he has been good to watch, however and it may be his age, it may be the gung ho way Lyon throw players forward.....he has looke dpretty raw, very much the modern full back in that he looks better going forward than defensively, but again I think this is the way Lyon play makes him look naive at time caught forward. He has pace, a good touch, technical ability, a really good cross and final ball....think like Livramento he can be a top full back in the next couple of years. Was only against the prioirty of signing him as I still thought Bissaka could have a future here and with Laird and WIlliams here we do have young options and plenty of them....but Im not sure any of them have a future here and in all honesty its way too early to say Dalot does as a first choice right back this season.
Now Id with a touch of sadness sell Bissaka (as thought he would turn into a top top right back), similar with Laird thought not seen as much fo him and gladly sell Williams...add that to Telles and buy Gusto, personally think its a big fee as he seems very highly rated in France
Yeah Lukeba is the gem in there. I can see him going for big money. The backline overall is very naive for Lyon, lots of inconsistency and mistakes there. And you are spot on with your assessment of Gusto. Raw but exciting going forwardIts quite shockign how poor Lyon have been in the league the last couple of seasons when you consider the talent at the club:

Would like to see him become more assured in the air and as with all young centre backs just becoming a lot cleaner with his timing when he is challenging for the ball. He does like really good for his age though and I wouldn’t be surprised if he is snapped up by a bigger side soon.Yeah Lukeba is the gem in there. I can see him going for big money. Caqueret hasn't had the greatest of starts this season and now with Lepenant and Tolisso as options Aouar can't see any game time either. Dembele doesn't get a start while he looks miles more likely to score than Lacazette. It's a real strange start to the season for them
No idea how the Filipino comes into it.According to Google it means "I don't like it" in Filipino.

Yeah Rennes on paper look quite good, The front line especially with couple of exciting young prospects waiting in line. Majer is the Croat you are thinking of I guess, not so sure of the other oneHavent managed to catch much at all so far this season of French league. From waht I ve seen though Id love any of Lukeba, Cawueret or Gusto here.....I think the reasons against though are the fees Newcastle, Wesat Ham and SPurs have spent on some of there players over the last few years, not sure the prices would be good at all.
I am looking forward to watching Rennes this season now they have signed Giouri. Ive kind of followed him ever since seeign him in a youth tournament for France. Bit of an odd moved, thought he would make a big one in Europe but the ability of him, Doku and Sulemana as a front three is as good if rawer than most sides in Europe and add Terrier who always looks so reliable and the Croation guy behind, forget his name.....really goood options. Also liked the young midfielder who was Camavingas heir, though didnt see and of them play much in games last year, no injuries played a part
This signing would be in 'bad taste' .
Perhaps not a priority signing for us with AWB returning and performing well and Laird still on the books. Wouldn’t be surprised to see both of them leave in the summer though.
All depends on what AWB shows us rest of the season. If he has truly turned the corner then we don't need a RB. If he reverts to type then we need to pull the trigger on this signing if he's available for €30m in the summer.
I can't remember the last time I saw something break from Sports Witness that actually ended up materialising but this one would be annoying if it did. Newcastle have made a few smart signings already and this would be another one.
Well yeah I think they're an aggregator? But they seem to collate the stories that never go anywhere from what I've seen recentlyBut sport witness don't break stories. They just translate.
They don't care that much about reliability. Their aim is to let people know what's being reported all around the world whilst offering their input based on various stories. They don't want to devalue any outlet/journalist as everyone that they cover has broken some news/transfer story that has eventually materialised.Well yeah I think they're an aggregator? Dalot looks like one of our most injury prone players out of the current lot, he has also proved way less than AWB who is only about a year older than Dalot. If we're going to update our RB I think we need to keep the best ones. If we'd get more money for Dalot, we should sell him and keep AWB as backup. At this point, I'm completely okay with us not signing a RB in the summer. Maybe a Malacia type cheap signing at most, if AWB leaves. I'm confident in Dalot's ability to be our long term starting RB.
What are you talking about? He has been available this season until very recently. Why the hell would we sell Dalot, who is only 23 and becoming a quality RB??Dalot looks like one of our most injury prone players out of the current lot, he has also proved way less than AWB who is only about a year older than Dalot. I think he is our weakest link if we field our best team and he is in it. His top level is interesting, but his bottom level is really poor. I think having two FB with different set of skills is a decent strength. We could keep AWB and get in someone who is very good offensively, and offer something incredible in terms of on the ball quality. We'd be we'll covered against any type of opposition. I think we can keep them both just going at this point, but if we're going to update now, that's my view on it.What are you talking about? He has been available this season until very recently. Both are a bit average in my opinion.I think he is our weakest link if we field our best team and he is in it. His top level is interesting, but his bottom level is really poor. How's Dalot injury prone when this is his first injury layoff since he started showing his ability for us ?Dalot looks like one of our most injury prone players out of the current lot, he has also proved way less than AWB who is only about a year older than Dalot. I completely disagree, Dalot has been one of our best performers this season and his development is one of the positive stories of our season. I feel like you have preconceived notions about him from before that you find difficult to change now. His "bottom level" has rarely been seen this season. I respect your view but I disagree with it.I think he is our weakest link if we field our best team and he is in it. His top level is interesting, but his bottom level is really poor.
