And you don’t think any of the toxic shite, hated or booing affects his confidence and therefore his performance? No hatred, booing or any other toxic shite should be sent his way, but it isn’t unfair to point out that he’s a liability nonetheless.

I think eth has made it pretty clear by his actions he isn't in his plans unless absolutely required. I'd personally be looking out for any decent club that would have me. Again, if i was him I'd be livid united rejected that West ham offer. I think he'd have done very well there.McT is "only" on £60K a week and he is at an age where he needs to get his big contract, a year sitting in the stands is not going to do that for him, so would expect a Christmas loan or transfer.
Yeah of course, as I said though I don’t engage in that. And you don’t think any of the toxic shite, hated or booing affects his confidence and therefore his performance?
He wasn’t a liability up to and including Lockdown and the EL final he missed. The Greek incident and subsequent injury really seemed to knock his confidence, and then with every foot out of place the guy gets piled on from the ‘fans’. He’s in a no win situation now.
He should have left this summer but he chose not to.
That is on him and you can just imagine the response he is going to get from the fans when he plays a game.
Im sorry but I have to disagree, the player power now is just ridiculous, for example take Nunes who has just moved from Wolves. Wolves took a chance on him and paid a hefty fee and a very high salary. City come in for him 48 hours before the deadline, because Wolves rejected the bid (and they are right to imo as they have zero time to recruit especially for a key player so the general rule is you pay a high premium) Nunes goes on strike (and this isn’t just an isolated incident ) and still collects his salary. it’s the same as players thY want their contract changing mid contract because they have had half a good season. By that logic the club can lower the players salary if they have a sub standard season? There needs to be an overhaul so that neither the player nor the club have too much power.
How dare he choose to play for United for £200k a week. All those fans 'responding' would definitely not have done the same.He should have left this summer but he chose not to.

This perspective is over the top.He should have left this summer but he chose not to.

I meant with Varane injured.Lindelof is 3rd choice. I suppose Maguire is still ahead of Evans but even that is doubtful.
Unfortunately, your right. People don't want to take pay cuts, even if they're already rich. We really need to get the wage bill in order. Although that looks like it hasn't begun yet when you see Mount's reported salary. If we're being honest, every single player we failed to sell was because they didn't want to drop wages.
We had interest for Bailly but he stayed because nobody wanted was able to pay his wages. And we had interest for Van De Beek but he also stayed because nobody wanted was able to pay his wages. They're no different from Maguire.
Maguire isn't alone at United for making the salary demands that he did. The same thing happens every season and at every big club that pays big wages. Jones, Pogba and DDG also left on frees for the same reason. I imagine we'll see something similar with Sancho before too long.

I don't know what he and Dalot were doing for that second goal. All they had to do was maintain their position as the next best option, but they chose the 3rd option (the worst one), which is to leave the near post open.Looking at Arsenals second goal watch Maguire. He stays frozen with his hand up instead of closing on Rice.
Also he doesn't have the instinct to close the gap on the closest post. He moves to the center where it's fully crowded.
I don't know if I'm reading to much because it's Maguire but I think he should had done way way better.
He's like playing with low frame rate. Opposition fans cheering when he comes on just goes to show what an utter dreadful signing he has been.

Rice even miss controls the ball with his chest but he still has time to correct it and shoot. How did we manage to give him so much time alone in the box after a corner is beyond me. Calamity defending as stupid and naive as it gets. Both, Evans and him should have done better. They had an eternity of time to close Rice down. 100% on them that goal.
I'm naive and childish so.People really are naive enough to think that it's a bad thing that we could put on England's number 1 centre back today instead of will fish or dalot centre back.
We need the cover. Saying that players need to leave and that 'anybody would be better' is so childish
Said back up international standard defender has been wank at club level for 24 months and cost 190k/week, and is 30, not a hill I’d die on. At least with a kid you can hold out hope that he would improve. We should retitle the thread 'why having backup international standard defenders in a injury crisis is a bad thing'
Stop spouting shite. The guy is a liability and today's awful ending proves just that.We should retitle the thread 'why having backup international standard defenders in a injury crisis is a bad thing'
