He had a great WC, but there was a time not long ago that he wasn't first choice for Ajax.
He had a rubbish world cup.

This goalkeeper is definitely not United quality. All he did were a couple of good saves in the World Cup. My first pick would be Hugo Lloris. I would like Neuer but he is too cool to even be linked with United and wants to stay with Schalke.
Same here. I love Neuer as a keeper.
I think our next goalkeeper should be German, either Manuel Neuer or Rene Adler whom would be the first choice for the Germans if he did not get injured? Don't know who is the better of the two, but I know Adler is a United fan - don't know how relevant that is but its not a bad thing - he will probably be interested in ending his career here if he joins, something that should mean that we have a goalie for the next 15 years, something that hopefully would be the fact in either of the two.

Manchester United target Maarten Stekelenburg has said he will join Arsenal this summer, if Ajax receive a bid for the goalkeeper.
The Dutch international has been highly coveted since his outstanding displays in last year's World Cup for a Holland side that reached the final in South Africa.
However, after being strongly linked with United, who claimed the 28-year-old was their No.1 goalkeeping target this summer, the Dutchman has said he will leave Ajax if a bid is received, but his only destination with the Gunners,
“If an offer from Arsenal arrives, I will leave,” he said.
