Wasn't this same Lvg that played some good football with two brilliant wingers while his time at Bayern?
I would say bale is good enough player to play on those tight spots, he coukd adopt well with lvg's style of play.

I would say get Bale and problem solved, we missed on him on his early days.
I wonder if he'd play out wide for us, actually. He prefers the center and could play behind Martial with Memphis out left and still a bit of a hole out right (though Mata is fine and there are young options in Lingard and Januzaj).
He might sign on the condition he plays centrally or Van Gaal might just want the pace and goalscoring he provides there for Wales.

No, imo best position for Bale on wing, but occasional switch of position would happen in course of play. Also i don't see LVG agree with any precondition especially with players playing position.I wonder if he'd play out wide for us, actually. The way LVG keeps going on about needing wingers makes me think he has a target in mind for January. Have a feeling it's either Sadio Mane or Felipe Anderson. They are the only two that fit the criteria that seem feasible in January. Lazio are not having a good season, so selling him in January might be in inconsequential to their season, making him more approachable than Sadio Mane and he would be a tad cheaper.

It's a good theory but Anderson would need time to adapt, as per LvG's comments about Memphis recently. I doubt we will buy any significant players in January.
Most top players tend to move in the Summer (Mata was an exception, who was being forced out by Mourinho) and LVG has already stated clearly that he is after quality players, not squad/lesser players.
He has repeatedly stated that he is looking for an attacking player who can unlock defences who park the bus. I just don't feel that Mane is the quality LVG is looking for. I certainly wouldn't rely on him to unlock a defence.
