So since our defeat yesterday I am searching through 3-5 threads to find rumors about LVG sacking and who could be our next manager, so I thought a thread just for this could be useful.

So post in this thread latest rumors (Twitter, articles, instagram, etc) on LVG sacking (I think it is the matter of time) and who could be our next manager.

Whilst we are checking Instagram for news on the Man Utd manager don't forget Pinterest, Bebo and Myspace. Itl probably break there first.

They are and have been clearly desperate to get Pep for some time. Could be a factor in him opting for City ahead of us (if we are interested).

Clearly you're right. Just hope Ed Woodwards thinking the same thing and has the balls to tell the board that and make it happen. 1st enquiry would be Pep, but if theres no encouragement I'd drive straight to where Mourinho is at and get it done.
 
LVG crashed the banter bus. Jose will get it back on the road. He fecking loves them buses.
 
I kind of feel sorry for Van Gaal a bit, he cuts a sad figure at the moment with his body language and some of his quotes. I think his style of football is dated and he's too set in his ways to adapt in any way. There is a degree of arrogance and stubbornness in there for sure and he has to take responsibility for that. We've been absolutely appalling to watch this season and he seems unable to turn it around. It's clear now the players have lost faith and it's time for him step aside and i think he knows his days are numbered. It's a sad way for his successful career to end.

If he goes i think it's time for a director of football at the club. Woodward needs to accept his strengths are on the financial side not the football side, he's a bit of a disaster in terms of dealing with the media as an example, makes us look amateurish. A lot of top coaches are happy to work under a DOF these days as it allows them to concentrate on the running of the team. We've needed to restructure and modernise in several ways since the Fergie days. I'd love Guardiola but i suspect City is a done deal, they've been chasing him for years i reckon.

Yeah added it because till know Instagram has been the most reliable source of transfer rumours. Maybe his wife/daughter/son will post something.
 
Its evident that Giggs will be our next manager

His mates are at City, personally I don't see him chose a disorganized club over a club organized by his mates, not when both clubs are in the same neighborhood.

I nailed moyes and felliani signing and I'm confident on this too. No itk but simply reading the writing on the wall. There's too much United way and class of 92 going on with the occasional wanking at giggs done by saf, paddy and co

Well that's what I'm afraid of. He will crush everybody like he did with Barca and Bayern and he will be soon considered as the best manager in history.

I agree. Pep will go where the most show ponies are, just like he always did. I hope he does, I don't think he'll do that well at City.

I'm struggling to see this happening. We seem to be slow in doing most things. Except for handing undeserving players absurd new contracts.

Also there's a lot of close minded veterans at United who likes things done their way. Pep is too modern and fickle for them. Giggs is safer to control

Absolutely. Should be happening. And then if, by some fortune, the club stumbles across a successful manager who wants to stay long-term, the role can be removed.

But really, the club needs to get with the times. Managers stay in their role for three years maximum, and if each manager is given freedom to dismantle and restructure the squad, it'll be ridiculous.

A director of football would hopefully ensure players (such as Shaw, Martial) of the right profile are signed. Players who are young, have re-sale value, are adaptable etc. and can be used by two or three coaches without an issue. The manager would then have freedom to sign one r two older players he wants specifically.

Hopefully the club have realised that Sir Alex is gone, and they need to operate like everyone else.
 
The news that Pep will leave Bayern next summer has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons. Woodward needs to get his finger out and negotiate with him asap. In the meantime we should get rid of van Gaal and appoint an interim Manager to get us into the top 4.
Pep is known to favour Man United over Man City even if reports do mention that Man City are favourites to land him.
 
So we're left with Mourinho.

He's divisive and increasingly paranoid and unstable.

I think I'd stick with Van Gaal before I have Jose.

Indeed.

Putting Giggs in (on a permanent basis), is the equivalent of a man, who has just lost his job.
He gets home to find his wife and kids have left him.
He then starts boozing himself into oblivion.

As you said, he (and we) would have hit rock bottom.

I don't think it's so strange. I know we're historically a huge club, but City are on the verge of a lot of success. They have it all to come in other words. Maybe Pep wants to be forever associated in creating something amazing there and be remembered for it, as opposed to only ever being second to Ferguson here. Plus when you factor in his Barca mates and a blank cheque book, it isn't the most unlikely thing in the world.

Whichever club he moves to now will be the weakest set of players he'll have managed.
If he joins MCFC they will surely win the title. They'll probably win this season.
But going far in the CL - that'll be the challenge.

If he joins MUFC, he will definitely have his work cut out to win anything.
