Give him another year. He looked subdued and a sad old man. He might make decent signings.

He did no look a bit wistful. But you don't give you someone you want to dump a mercy f*ck. Let him go with his head held high.

Just won a trophy and all some people could do is moan he hasn't been sacked on the spot.

Calm down. Go enjoy your night. This was a great win. Others are entitled to say what they want. This is the LVG out thread afterall. Loving the win and wanting him out right after aren't mutually exclusive.

Manchester United manager gets abuse from own fans literally minutes after winning the FA Cup? Honest to god, ye're ridiculous.

So LVG has nothing to do with the career development of Jese Lingard? That's an interesting point of view.

Don't even get me started on Lingard. One goal after the hundreds of minutes of absolute nothingness he provides doesn't change my opinion on either LVG or Lingard.

Getting rid of him will be much more important than an FA Cup. Forgive me for caring more about the big picture.

Won the league in loads of countries and has a cup in four of them. This FA cup is the biggest domestic cup of the lot and I'm glad he could win it with us. If he's gone by Monday then fair play to him for coming in, trying to rebuild a destroyed side and winning silverware when he was up against the wall. No matter what happens now this trophy (the first post Fergie!) will make me remember Van Gaal fondly. The trophy wheel is rolling now lets step it up next season whoever is in charge.

They're hardly going to look stone-faced when we've just won a trophy or sack him on the spot, are they?
and they also arent going to be laughing, joking, and embracing if theyre sacking him either...

I am no body language expert and i dont think anyone on this board is, but that looked like a CEO who is very happy with his manager

Jesus why would you even want to patronise me? Do you see me going around saying people have golden fish memories for thanking him for anything? Have a word with yourself.

And no, it wasn't the first reaction. I'm happy for our players and I hope we LVG off asap.

Exactly fans living in the moment will seriously question this win, if LVG stays and Giggs takes over. This would be catastrophic for the club long term.

Time to go. They don't exert themselves on the opposition under him. When they did win comfortably, it was usually because of the quality of the squad instead of his tactics.

Not a bad manager by any means. He was up and down through his career, and we happened to get an ebb.

Apologists aren't without a mitigating argument, but in the end he couldn't make a proper United team.

There's a standard at this club, and he didn't show he was going to reach it.

Enjoy your villa, LVG. All eyes on Ed.

Perfect send off for him. Very few managers not named Ferguson get to walk with the trophy.

Those of us who aren't little kids, or idiots, will understand what you want to say.

Just won the F.A cup and yet some of the recent posts in here. feck sake.

Why the feck enter LVG out thread if you are irked to see such comments? What did you expect? Flowers and brownnosing? Cue calling other people idiots and kids.

feck if he ends up staying because he won today I would be so fecking pissed.

Don't worry, the decision has already been made. A club like United wouldn't let a paltry cup win decide something this big.

Things would have been much more difficult for the board if we slotted a CL spot, but a club like United deserve European football at the highest level. As a dutchie, regardless of what is going to happen, i want to say that Van Gaal has done his job in terms of providing us with a title and bringing in youth who secured their place in the XL.

I knew exactly what to expect.

That's the sad thing here.

Is it though? We've had to suffer 50+ games of absolute shite this season. Comfortably the worst football I've seen from any team during my (short, admittedly!) life. People asking has he been sacked yet on an internet forum isn't going to affect LVG in any way.

I would imagine if he is going it will be announced on Monday.

It was a good set of questions by Des Kelly or whatever his name is on BT with him

Van Gaal: "I don't have to prove myself, I shall continue because we have proven today we have a title.
