No, he should be sacked before the final, even though I'm certain Woody and his boys won't do it.

The bare minimum for this season was CL qualification. LVG has failed to do that.

We've looked awful in failing to do that, should actually be finishing in a worse position if not for players like DDG and Martial who carried the team.

The club owes this guy nothing. He could and should be sacked today.

I'm really wondering how motivated the players will be, especially the few senior players we have, for the Cup Final, knowing that this idiot led you through an absolute shit of a season? I see absolutely no reason to keep him on for the one game. Get rid of him now, put Giggs/Joyce/Butt or even Carrick/Schweinsteiger in charge and start fresh next season.

People are seriously suggesting sacking him before the biggest game of our season?

The yes vote in the poll should have risen to 99% by now? I'm still amazed that the bottom 4.2% haven't changed their vote either. I could probably name some of them, mind you.

Why should he get to be in charge, for the biggest game of the season, as if he doesn't hold some responsibility for this shitshow?

If there is a Champions league clause in his contract, he'd be hanging on to his job on a technicality tonight.

I can't keep up with what your point is here. How many games did Rashford miss because Rooney was in the team ahead of him after he made his debut?

Rooney was injured for months in feb, he misses games in the PL against Arsenal, Man City and villa Rashford scores twice against arsenal, and both winners, in the FA cup Rashford plays a huge role getting us to the final of the FA Cup. So the point is? we actually did better with rooney injured and put faith in guys like Rashford, during Rooney's injury we hit a crucial run getting us into a good position for a top 4, and a possibility of winning the FA Cup

It's a matter of principle now. We got to the final in spite of him, not because he's at all done a good job here.

He's done a lot for the club as a player and I can live with having him in charge for the one game. Don't think I want him here next season, either, he shares in the responsibility.

van Gaal has done SFA and I'm at a point where it can be anyone but him.

I really feel gutted for DDG, especially after seeing his celebrations when we went in front at West Ham. You could tell it really meant a lot to him. I just hope he doesn't become disillusioned at the prospect of another year under this fraud when the vultures from Madrid come circling again. They won't make the same fax mistake again.

Please feck off LVG!

Ta! And let the door it your ass on the way out.

In a season of IF onlys, if only we had only half fallen away when 2-1 up at West Ham and not totally.

Even a draw would still have us in contention! Arghhh, see you next week.

I would love LVG to show some balls in the last game. It is likely Bournemouth don't field a lot of first teamers now with some going on holidays. ANyways they won't be motivated. Field a very attacking side- 4-1-5 sort of formation. Try and score 7 or 8 at least. The worst we finish 6th the best 5th so not exactly a difference for us

I'm open to the concern that a sacking right before a cup final is a bad idea, but the man has failed to live up to expectations and must be sacked. And if it's not Jose who succeeds him, we be fekked for a long, long time.

imagine if Woodward and the board decided to keep the fraud, how would they sell the idea of joining the club to summer recruits with NO CL and the fraud as a manager?

I say sack him the day after the final.
I'd say sack him as he is about to enter the coach and ban him entry to it. As things stand, him being in the dugout is absolutely useless and most of the times counterproductive as his subs have rarely inspired.

Even if we didn't have the FA cup final, I doubt he'd be sacked after todays game, technically or at least from a contractually specific point we're not mathematically out of 4th place.
Would have been interesting had city and made it 100% certain with a win, and seeing if we'd take action though. :(

No one with a brain or ambition is gonna come here, they already know what another season with LVG will equal to. On top of that, we have to keep players like Martial and DDG happy while we play in the fecking Europa League.

Added the fact that he'd also be a lame duck manager whose contract expired next June 2017, this is the most critical factor.

As a young upcoming player, an LVG led Manchester United would be the last place I'd want to join.

Putting a point of principle, giving the job temporarily to fecking Giggs, above having a stable build up to the Cup Final? I think he's lucky to still be here and I'd sack him in the summer but now is not the time.

which game? there have been plenty of "biggest game" moments he's fecked up. i love it if he got shit canned in the morning.

Sack him now so that he has no chance of accidentally landing on a trophy after his disastrous time with us.

I figure we'd have better chance winning against Palace without him anyway.

He's obviously (and rightfully) not going to be sacked before the final.

Ideally yes, the euphoria amongst he fans, and most likely the players would give us a real boost before the final.

Of course that won't happen though and we'll get the usual offering next Saturday, then win or lose all we can do is hope we do what everyone is expecting, but I won't be surprised either way tbh.

Sack him at the full-time whistle next Saturday and escort him out of the Stadium before the Cup is lifted.

So we miss out on top 4 and lose to Palace in cup final, a few days later an announcement is finally made by the club....that Louis will see out his final year before Ryan Giggs takes over as this was the plan all along. The reasoning is that Louis has been extremely unlucky this season with injuries, fat men, low bridges and bomb scares.

The thoughts going through my fragile mind right now, I need to give myself a slap.

Why can't we win 19.0? He's just been unlucky not to play attacking football in his previous 75 league games. Or its the players fault. #givelvgachance

Or failing that, why not let him lead the team out, then sack him and instate Giggs just before kick off.

If Giggs is losing at half time, sack him and let one of the fans take over for the rest of the match.

I will celebrate soon, his sacking will bring immense joy to me. Good bye Van LOONY
