Tomorrows papers running the "I'm going nowhere" stories from LVG again.. I'm beginning to fear he could be right which will set us even further back.

If he thought this season was tough can you imagine how painful next season would be, from the fans and from the press?

If I was in his position I'd read the writing on the wall and want to win silverware then get out with some dignity intact.

It'd be absolutely poisonous after one or two bad results, there's no way it'd last.

"I have said I shall be here, that is my opinion, so the board has to decide if it’s like that," said Van Gaal. "That is a different way of looking to the situation.

“The facts are that we are still fighting for Champions League qualification.

“We depend on Manchester City [losing] but we are still fighting, also for the FA Cup, and then we shall see what the board is doing.”

At least it doesn't sound like the board have given him any assurances.

A lot less deluded tbf. I should have read the article, but usually his full of shit.

Worst thing about him that he feels absolutely no fecking responsibility or the feeling of failure that he's the father of. There's this weird sense of entitlement in his head which tells him that everything he does is alright therefore he sees no reason not to be in the driving seat come next season. He's a deluded, self-centred arrogant cnut.

Can't wait for Jose to take over from this absolute shitehawk.

Couldn't agree more mate.

Christ, Vangle, stop saying this "we're still fighting" bullshit like it's something to be proud of. Extremely small-time, but not surprising in the slightest. It fits his "lowering expectations" agenda.

That's it - as United fans accustomed to the Ferguson spirit, 'fight' is the least we expect from United teams.

He's even mentioned reaching the COC 4th round as progress. I guess he thinks he's still at AZ Alkmaar.

Why is it so surprising though? I don't see Wenger taking blame and he hasn't won a title in almost a decade. Same goes with Jose as well. He sounded more deluded with every press conference during his downward spiral. If anything, the players came out and took some of the blame after he got sacked.

Main differences are that 1) neither Jose nor Wenger are our manager 2) Wenger, despite doing his utmost to get killed this season by Arsenal fans, is actually keeping Arsenal in top4 for years, something that is well out of reach for LVG despite all the money he spent 3) Jose still managed to win the title last season.

I can't really recall Jose coming to a press conference saying that it's fine that Chelsea were dogshite and the fans have to lower their expectations. We have been told that. As for Wenger, I do consider him incredibly deluded as well and he should go for Arsenal's sake.

This is what I said in the Jose thread, so I completely agree kostur.
Couldn't agree more, if he had come out and taken responsibility for everything he's done wrong and the way he's treated players other than his favourites then possibly but he hasn't and he won't because he thinks everything he does is better than everyone else despite the obvious evidence it isn't, he's an arrogant ass and deserves absolutely nothing from us!

When the number of pages reach number 666, than he will be gone. For it is the number of the Beast! Hell and fire are sworn to be released!

I don't know what exactly you are looking for in a press conference. Most of them are just hack journalists fishing for a catchy headline. The only truth in any of these press conferences are the injury and team updates.

Days before Moyes was sacked, he was talking about a major rebuild job during the Summer.
Even when he was sacked he was in disbelief.

So, it seems that the MUFC hierachy have a knack of giving no hints to the manager that he is on the verge of being replaced. It's kind of cruel...but that's how they seem to play the game.

I'm not looking for anything in the press conferences, merely an observation based on how he behaves in all interviews, during press conferences and all things related really.

Makes sense. Pretty much sums up majority of the fans frustration and anger directed at our manager.

Those press conferences? yeah they are basically a crap shoot with shitty journalists trying to bait fans with a below par headline.

You're making an assumption that all I'm/the fans are doing is reading just headlines. There's been uncountable amount of shit that's been spouted by LVG, those shitty journos you're referring too didn't even have to spend much time to spin things around as LVG's a master of talking shit and given our dreadful performances there's no false narration that has to be made.

How anybody even fecking tries to defend this prick at this point is simply beyond me.

I get the point you are trying to make. Pipe down buddy! It is pointless going on and on about these press conferences. I was watching Jose's press conferences earlier this season and they are anything but informative.

"And the Lord said 'thy comeuppance hath cometh. For nary a Vangle shall survive'.
But the Beast protested. 'Nay, foul Lord of Woodward, prevalance doth protect me. For thine contract says three not two. Now; gaze upon thy powerful balls and tremble in fear'. And the Beast carried on turning the waters into piss."

But has the 7th seal been opened????

"The Lord cried out to the Beast. 'Thou hath tarnished the 7'. But the Beast refused the cry. 'Thine insolence angers me, Lord of Woodward. The 7 is safe. The end of Maria hath cometh and now the Pie takes thine rightful place.' Then the Beast replaced the loaves and fish with vinegar and salt, and the two centrebacks with three. 'For thine contract clearly states three not two'. And once again the Beast displayed his balls."

He also said it's unrealistic for us to believe we canchallenge for the league. Did he see Leicester f*ckin City win it with about 5% of our budget? He also said we're still in the race, he's almost just trolling us now, look at the big troll head on him.

I keep typing "Van Gaal sack" into Google so much, I'm afraid I'd add in an apostrophe S by accident and end seeing something I totally won't want to see.

Admitted that he had to be third right now but cannot even get there. I think at start of the season hos objectives were a decent run in champions league (say till qf). A good cup run. and top3 in the league. He has managed none. I think if we keep him the football side of the club is dead. He will obviously say he wants to be here next season, but the board i think should and will ask him to step down after f.a cup final.

He's still here.

The board must have no respect whatsoever for the feelings of the fans.
