Basically we won't sack him until we mathematically can no longer get champions league. He will be here until then, at which point we will announce Butt as caretaker until Mourinho in the summer. That's my guess anyway.

Why the hell Butt? That won't happen.

I really hope Mourinho is a done deal.
I just have that slight concern that miniscule run of wins with the kids might have made the board think he's worth a third season for some odd reason. Even though games like this show that the kids are not ready just yet.

After Sunday it won't matter if he stays until the summer or not, then our season will be over and we can stop caring about the results. I have never wanted United to loose but it sure will feel like a relief if our season ends then and I won't need to get my hopes up for this pathetic excuse of a team before every game.

potentially just 11 games to see out now.

We'll rack up some wins for certain, we still play crapola like Villa at home, but you don't hope for much in any of the aways for certain.

I really hope Leicester don't win it on our ground either. Although that might kick us into life for next year

If he's still there in the morning it's the boardroom who're the problem.

Why is he still here again? Jesus wept!

Not doing it after Norwich was such a mistake it's unbelievable.

Oh well, we might save some severance money doing it when top 4 is impossible.

And then use it to buy the next Falcao!

seriously, did anyone not see this kind of disaster coming by keeping him until the end of the season?

it was abundantly clear when we lost our 4th game in a row vs stoke. (actually even a game before that vs norwich home)

We've won 10 out of the last 29 games in Europe and the League. Hope he can keep it up. Could conceivably see us snatching a top half finish if we maintain that form.

He'd defile Sir Alex's statue and still be in the job. The board is inept.

Losing at Anfield isn't the worst thing, but to lose like that, is horrendous. We had absolutely nothing. A number of good players on that pitch, made to look shite. Tactically, I have no idea what the plan was today. Other than De Gea and the back 3, I have no idea who was playing in what position. I don't think the players did either.

Its strange because we beat Pool twice in the league, they sacked their gaffer for being shit, yet they may have a better season than us. 3 points behind with game in hand and Europa League advancement

Is it possible that LFC's standards are higher than ours?
We aspire to get into the top 4, if we are lucky.
While LFC probably aspire to win the league.

We will NEVER be a top club again unless we stop accepting abject mediocrity. He should have been sacked months back. Yet he's still here and will finish the season ensuring we're back in the EL next year.

That's because we're so shit we've become the game raising small time team that loses to everyone else but turns up for the big ones. Not that we did tonight.

While fergie blitzed his rivals on every front, VG has let our own rivals blitz us on every front. Liverpool could win a trophy and get CL football, city requiring pep, if he is kept on I would be very interested in the ticket sales, because the club if they do keep VG on, then it seems to me thet do not seem to care where we are, has long as the money flows in to avoid paying out on this idiot. And still for the club to basically use the mathematical technicality of when its impossible then they act, this board truly run by chimps. When a manager is not only out of his depth, but lost the plot of point of no return, and he still does not get the sack, the board such has woodward the owners need to be reviewing his job, because how woodward has allowed us to get to this point is also sackable. You do not let cancer spread, woodward has let that happen twice now. If woodward was a chief at a hospital, and VG was an ageing doctor he would have let VG kill all the patience

The only good thing about him was that he always won against the scousers, now even that is gone.

We'll beat West Ham 1-0 on Saturday thanks to a jammy OG and DDG making 10 worldy saves and suddenly we'll have turned our 30th corner in LVG's tenure.

Missus just asked why I was smiling like a psycho, LvG has caused anger smiles. Anger smiles!

I don't think I should watch our games anymore. Can't be healthy

I'd support mass protests, banners, flying planes, UFO's in old trafford putting pressure to get him sacked at this point.

Visiting this thread makes me really angry.

Have no faith in us beating West Ham. The whole season might be over on Sunday. Fecking depressing

I thought the swing voters wanted to keep because there was ''no point in sacking him now''. Turns out they actually just thought we were the dog's bollocks again after Shrewsbury.

If that's how it plays out, it would be the best thing to happen at Old Trafford this entire season.
