Like all our fullbacks he's expected to do an insane amount of work because our forward players are too lazy to assist in tracking back.
He usually doesn't start well and I feel he should've had a longer break after the longest season in his career.

Again feel like his performances are more suffering from the ineptitude in other positions and the way we are currently playing as he keeps getting caught out further up the pitch then people break on us. He’s then out of position and it’s a struggle to get back in.

Yes this. We struggle so badly with the press and build up that he's essentially one of our few outlet balls from within our own half and then he's expected to provide all the width in the final third of the pitch also.
Only a prime Marcel or Alves could do that and that's because their teams monopolised possession and had mercurial talents all over the pitch working efficiently.
Where is the Shaw we saw at the Euros? Especially going forward
One of the few players, except Greenwood, that tried to drive with the ball and speed up the play, but noone was finding the space to receive the ball. Not amazing, but certainly the most steady performer in the defence so far, Varane was top class and hopefully Maguire gets going, because he seems to struggle quite a bit when under pressure.
Tells got injured so he had to come back early.

What could he do when Sancho had a mare and didn't help him out?
He's one of my favorite players but he had a nightmare yesterday, crosses were off, he didn't bomb forward and didn't defend particularly well.
At times he looked quite surprised that they're attacking his side again and again.

I’m watching the England game and I’ve just checked Wikipedia. There is no way Luke Shaw is 6ft1 as stated online. By my estimation he’s 5 ft 10. How tall do you think he is ?
Jones is 5'11 i think and Shaw's shorter than him. Around 5'9 - 5'10
According to many online sources he is 6ft1! Something I just can’t believe myself.
I would swap Shaw and Jones' Wikipedia entries; ~179 cm for the former and ~184 cm for the latter.

Was quite good, getting up to speed again after the last two games, got an assist too.

He was very average at the start of last season. Maybe just needs a bit more time to warm up. He’ll be back to his best before you know it!
I feel, now that we have signed Ronaldo, shaw could rack up more assists.
Would have got another assist too if Sterling wasn’t crap in front of goal.

I think for us he's also trying to work out chemistry with Sancho who drifted wide left in the last game. There were 1-2 moments where I saw Shaw in a great position in the opponent's right side and he was in autopilot thinking it was a Rashford-esque partner on an overlap, but he had to check back to Sancho who preferred the ball deeper infield.

He's going to boss it from now on. He always takes a few games to play himself into form and once he gets going, he's going to be lit.
Didn't have a rest due to the euros. Played for England with broken ribs. No preseason games.

He's definitely 6 foot. Before he joined United my friend met him shopping and had a photo with him. He's 6 foot and they were pretty much identical height.
