I remember he had that tap in chance too to equalise, hit it straight at the keeper...You can't possibly lead a team to top 4 if you can't score against top 4.
For God's sake, that game against City he was a bigger threat to our goals than to city goal, De Gea had to save to own goals from Lukaku. What the hell are you talking about?

That's a dreadful record, wasn't aware it was that bad.40 goals against weak opponents.
09/17-2017 Man Utd 4-0 Everton (1 goal)
11/18-2017 Man Utd 4-1 Newcastle (1 goal)
02/25-2018 Man Utd 2-1 Chelsea (1 goal)
Thats his only 3 PL-goals against teams ending on the upper half of the table. They ended up 5th, 8th and 10th. Then you have the 2 goals against PSG. Should be possible for Rashford/Martial/Greenwood to deliver something similar or better during the next 2 seasons.
And just the other day people were complaining we've overspent on Maguire (and plenty of others before him). Which one is it? Our transfer dealings have been poor over the last several years but you can't exactly argue we haven't spent."back" to Glazers' pocket. No reinvestment whatsoever
Wasn't Lukaku instrumental for our best league season after Fergie when we amassed over 80 pts and finished 2nd? He contributed 16 goals and 7 assists in the league alone.
I shall repeat that most fans on here hold seriously dumb opinons of Lukaku. A far better team in Juventus wanted him. If people were a little bit smarter, this alone should have given them pause when portaying him as an inept donkey.

That is shocking for a proven goals scorer and so called WC striker.40 goals against weak opponents.

A far better team than Everton also wanted Lukaku and we saw it week in week out, I don't why people go with "juventus wants him" when every ManUtd fan watched him week in week out for 2 years and formed their opinion.
If we go by "Juventus wanted him" logic, then we all should every player wanted by top clubs very highly and that's including players like Danilo who is just shit and ended up playing for City, Madrid, Juventus.
For everything that's been said, Lukaku has come out a winner here.
He leaves a team rebuilding under a manager of uncertain credentials that doesn't rate him like the former manager did, gets a pay hike to join a cl team under a world class manager who has wanted to work with him for years. He probably can't believe his luck.
True. Still though, if we had spent the exact same amount that we have done in the last 5 odd years, but all of them were successful transfers, would you be complaining about a lack of investment? It's not a lack of investment that has been the problem, it's been the choice of transfer targets (edit: and also seemingly good targets that failed at the club for whatever reason). That's not on the Glazers.Redcafe is not one person.
Fantastic deal for us.
I hope Lukaku flops for Inter because of his recent behaviour but as long as he slims down he will probably kill it. The criticism of his goal scoring record is that he doesn't do it against elite teams but that's every single club in Italy apart from Juventus.
Terrible argument. I can assure you that compared to the managers who rate him highly you and the likes on here are clueless.
Its not so.. Llorente is on his way.Good deal if the money were to be reinvested
It's Ole that wanted him out and if it all goes wrong it will be down to him. He will now be judged on all the decisions he has made this window. If he is not replaced then it has put untold pressure on that forward line, one of whom is an inexperienced kid. People say they are going to be patient, I hope they are, but some will moan as soon as we go on a bad run.
You forgot the part where the owner pockets the differenceA player and his agent come out smelling of roses while a manager and particularly a fanbase are left eating shit? That doesn't sound like football to me.

There have been few more dislikeable players at this club in recent years.
Well let's hope Pogba doesn't go before the window in Europe shuts or decides not to bother himself. If Ole drops him or he goes we will be in deep trouble.Ole did not want him out, Lukaku is the one who is desperate for a move. Lukaku was the one who was talking about a move even before the season had ended. He was talking about how great Barcelona was, and that it would be great to play for them, a day before a crucial second leg against them. How disrespectful is that ?? He was no longer first choice as his form was shit, that did not mean he was completely ignored. He was still played and the onus was on him to get his place back. Instead he decided to move, rather than up his game and work harder to get his place back.
I don't even think that Ole would have sold him without a replacement, if he had not been such an unprofessional cnut. The rumours at the start were that we were open to selling him, but only for 80m and with enough time to look for a replacement. But now we are forced to sell him, as there is no way to keep him this season with that attitude, even if we can't get a replacement.
Haha we've got people being like 'good, glad he's gone, well done United' and ignoring the fact that we won't even replace him. remember this was a £75m striker that was meant to become world class here. He's also by far the most prolific striker we had. Woodward has literally played an absolute blinder for the Glazers again, they must absolutely love him.Fine, we sold him but are going to sign anyone else? I am not happy about it if we are just going to go into the season with Rashford and Martial, who haven't proved they are good enough up to this point to get us into the Champions league.
To round it up. We have managed to strengthen our defence, but weaken our attack and midfield. They weren't even good last season, but we have managed to make them worse. Poor transfer window.
And you thought you are some smart arse when you talked about tactics and against Jose, manager who won them all. It works both ways, if everyone just blindly follow how the players are rated then we should just agree with what every club does, as they are the experts.
You forgot the part where the owner pockets the difference
Again. You thinking people are dumb isn't actually a valid argument. You thinking a coach want Lukaku is also not a valid argument as I gave an example of the many failed footballers that Sir Alex signed.
Lukaku's stats by all means are merely average for a player leading the attack for any team planning to get to top 4. He is an average finisher, with poor technical skills (ball control, one touch play, runs, positioning, etc), he can't play as a target man which is strange for a player with his physique. His main power is attacking space with his pace, which would require a team playing counter attack football, that's why he is suited for lower table teams more than top class teams. That's why he succeeded in West brom and Everton but was bang average for Chelsea and us, that's why Mourinho signed him because Mourinho wanted to play counter attack football, and he will succeed with Inter Milan because Inter Milan is an average team that is build to suite his style of play.
This is how you make an argument. Not by calling people stupid.
Edited for spelling.
Well, re: Jose I was right. Football changed and his tactics didn't work as well as before. I wrote it a year before the caftards caught up. And predicted 6 montsh before he and Guardiola moved to the Manchester clubs that Guardiola would shit on him. Which happened. As Taleb says, it's important to have a skin in the game: e.g., to test your opinions by making predictions. My predictions have generally fared pretty well. I hope those who predict that we'd be better off without Lukaku turn out to be right. I doubt it though, if we do not secure a good replacement.
I was critical of Lukaku when the caftards on here were singing his praises and were arguing whether he is up there with Kane. Now I defend him as the pendulum has gone to the other extreme. He wasn'tas good as Kane back then and he isn't as bad as the caftards think. My opinion.

Thanks for the lesson. Don't find it convincing though. People tend to seriously overrate their undersgtanding of how things work. Dunning-Kruger.

The self appraisal is as cringy as Likaku's interview.
You are "clueless fan" and shouldn't judge manager like Jose according to your logic.
