Television Love Island 2019

I loosely watch this eg it is on but I'll be on here etc at the same time

I'm struggling to see what all the girls see in Danny he's probably the least attractive in there and not the best personality yet the girls are all fighting over him

I liked Curtis originally but he and Amy are starting to get on my wick need something to shake them up a bit, they did it to Danny and Jack last year, I got excited when they were having that tiff the other day then its almost like they are the golden couple and the show is really flogging for them to win, how convenient she was refusing to speak to him then oh look they are invited on a date and kiss and make up I wanted to see how long she would ignore him for. Also the way they keep offering advice they come across as very smug oh look at us and how perfect we are. Need something to test if they are truly genuinely into each other

I also found Anton very irritating in the beginning and now feel sorry for him, I also cant warm to Amber.

Glad Maura has made it more interesting it was exceptionally dull until then

How much longer have they got left in there?

Final is on 29 July apparently so just under 5 weeks.

Ah so still quite a while then

Also Curtis and Amy- neither have really faced competition/ someone new coming in trying to "steal" one of them like how Molly and Tommy faced and to some extent Yewande and Danny. They've had a very easy ride it would be interesting to see just how into each other they were if someone came in and properly tried to get with one of them.

Agree - just read online that for first time it will be the girls that go to casa amor as 12 new islanders head in. Would be good to see if they can turn Curtis’ head

No chance Curtis' head turns I'd say unless he realizes that everyone hates Amy. No chance he's really into her either, he's clearly there to just try win the show and he's just tried to become the new Jack and Dani. He's building his career and nothing else imo, he'll be getting on the UK dance shows now instead of the Irish one.

Ooh lets hope the new people cause their heads to turn, they are coming across very much as a Disney couple all unicorns and rainbows etc.

Interesting you dont think he's that into her how come you think that? Not questioning you just intrigued what you've noticed given I've only half been watching it

I agree with this, I think Curtis is definitely playing a game and not really into Amy either - the whole agony uncle act he's putting on is so cringe as well.

All of it scripted. even the coupling up is given in order of who's choice will have the most dramatic effect, for example Danny tonight with Yewande/Arabella and Tommy last time with Molly/Maura. Those words coming out of Tommy's mouth in his coupling was something out of Disney love film, and Danny's speech "She's intelligent, she brings something to the villa no one has" was to make you think he was talking about both girls for suspense.. Yewande because she's a scientist, and Arabella because she was new to the villa.
You think these people are learning a new set of lines, memorizing them and acting them out every single day? Nah mate. The show is produces and influenced but you don't need to write the lines. They pick the people on the merit that they produce enough content on their own. If the show would be scripted it would be Bafta worthy.

Oh look here he is again, "we are all in a good position " trying to put a positive spin on things I'm surprised they are putting up with him especially the ones having difficulties

It's so sickly sweet, at least Jack and Dani were quite easy to like last year these 2 are getting on my nerves

Surprised Anna and Amber haven't shrivelled up since they're so salty as feck.

Nothing he's done or the way he acts suggests to me he really likes her. He's also made slight faces and stuff at her stupid arguments and he was clearly tired of her shit with regards to Lucie. Yet he'll never actually disagree with her on anything despite him obviously thinking different. He just says sorry when he hasn't done anything wrong and plays happy family. Just not buying it. He's a smart guy who already had a tv career which he's now building on.

They're so annoying.

Anna's just weird, makes digs about every guy and talks about how much she hates all men and all men are dicks and is rude as feck but then wtf is she doing here to meet a guy? Glad Jordan just fecking called her dumb ass out.

And Amber's do I look like the sort to cause drama. Like uh yes you're exactly the type.

Ah see I've more had it on in the background so haven't noticed the little details, that's interesting imagine if he steals the money or something  true there are a lot of dance shows and or theatre productions he could be featured in if he successfully navigates this, one of the people the Strictly competitors are paired with for example

I dont buy her sweetness and innocence either, I know shes perfectly entitled to do what she wants but didn't she say she has never had a boyfriend yet in one of the challenges it came up that she had slept with 11 men or am I confusing her with someone else.

I take my earlier comment back - Amber back to being a bitchy Cnut.

Anna is the same - both salty as feck. “Bad bitches” - feck off

Anna giving it "bye" over and over was absolutely pathetic, good on the lad whose name I can't remember for calling her on it.

Yeah, bit disappointed more didn't call them up on that ridiculously unfair behaviour.

Ridiculous behaviour from Anna and Amber, one of them nearly 30 ffs.

Yeah agreed! Fair play to her chap Jordan for trying to get her to rein it in.

A bunch of the girls are proper immature. Yewande and Amy were similar when Maura and Elma first came in and the girls were up in the terrace.

This is where they could really improve the program by sending in a new contestant along the lines of “Dave, 37, overweight plumber from Sunderland” to dish out a few home truths.

Jordan with his hair reminds me of ex AFC Wimbledon striker Lyle Taylor. I'll be very surprised if he's not in the PL in the next 2 years.

Oooh tomorrow's challenge hope the Amy and Curtis speculation of people on here is raised

Im starting to follow Charlton a bit and seen some of this guy and he's got some comedy gold on his social media. The type that would have told Anna off. Good lad.

She then had the gall to tell him the next day that he fecked up and sat there waiting for him to apologize. I can see him flipping during Casa Amor time.

He's great. I'm lucky enough to support a club where there's a huge comradery between player and fans. Spoken to him a few times and he's a really sound and intelligent bloke. He can be a right ballbag on the field but it's just his will to win.

Can’t believe how calm Danny and Arabella were towards Anna and Amber, pair of fecking idiots they were last night.

I can honestly see them all splitting after Casa Amor. I think the girls are all far too immature and childish not to cause drama after that even if the lads stayed faithful.

Missed opportunity to cause more shit stirring with that task. I was hoping Tom calling Maura cringe etc was brought up.

Interesting pause by Curtis when Amy asked him if they would work in the outside then he kind of mumbled yes then looked away when she asked him again you tuned in people may be onto something. I only started watching from last year but didnt one guy do really well from his bromance in a previous year? Curtis now has the steady woman and the bromance. He should get with Tommy seems far more chemistry and genuine banter with them

I'd vote for them to go but want to see them have to go through this Casa Amor twist as they have yet to be properly tested/ someone try to break them up looking forward to all the smug I told you so posts

Interestingly I'd have said Molly and Tommy do seem genuine she also comes across looking like someone who isnt short of money however my doubts were she seemed more annoyed than upset by the comments no tears etc so maybe the tweets had support, if her job is linked to social media she will know how to portray herself and what people like however I prefer them to Mr and Mrs High School Musical

I think Michael is genuinely into Amber, not so sure about her though

Since you seem really into it I would suggest watching season 1 at some point because I thought that was pretty awesome

I think the guys on the show are sound and the most of the women are complete twats.

Oh and Curtis and his "oh for every negative tweet there are 100 positive ones" or whatever he said, its becoming puke inducing

That the one with Nathan and Cara? They've been the best couple. Girlfriend proper into Love Island so I've practically seen them all. The last 2 season have been crap because there's been no camaraderie. It's best when there's a few jokers in the group.

I thought Tommy would be a massive character in the mold of his brother but he's just gammon and eggs.

Nah that was season 2, which also had Kady and Scott, Rykard, Malin, Terry etc. Best line up by far that.

Season 1 was Jess and Max, Jon and Hannah etc
