9. Old Ford Lock, which used to appear in the background on the Big Breakfast TV programme.
10. The 3,000ft-circumference stadium, which, at 175ft will be higher than Nelson’s Column. The eight green tower cranes, each between 160ft and 200ft high, are in place for the concrete and steel work and roof erection. The cable-supported roof will cover 260,000sq ft and shelter two-thirds of the spectators.
