London 2012-Eton Dorney

Listen to Campbell right now, totally spent.

And seeing the Polish pair during the medal ceremony a little earlier, how can the public not fail to connect.

another fantastic row for our girls, never really watched rowing before but have enjoyed it.

It's one of my favourite Olympic events. Partly because we tend to do quite well in it, or be involved at least, but also it's one of those ones where you can really see them digging in. Just out and out effort and the crowd spurring them on, similar to the cycling and running.

For me, there are few events capable of replicating the excitement of when you've got 4 boats all bobbing along together, one to win Gold, one to win nothing. It's brilliant to watch.

watching the womens 8s last night which the US won (which is probably why it was on my tv) but found myself perving at the girls when they were on the podium, but not the cox

Yes! Great row in one of my favourite races of the whole Olympics. Didn't expect it to be so dominant, they led the whole way and I kept thinking Australia were going to come back at the end but it didn't seem to happen. Brilliant stuff from our lads and another gold on the lake.

Oh amazing, four gold medals.

Did you see Copeland's face after they crossed the line? :)

Phenomenal.

Disaster there for the GB team and the seat broke lets hope it was within the first 100m or that might be them out otherwise.

That Kat Copeland is my new favourite, 'We've just won the Olympics' and 'We're going to be on a stamp tomorrow!'. Brilliant stuff, nice that she's a bit different to the standard rower type as well.

Great ace that. Wouldn't think too many of the rowing races come down to the last few meters. (or do they)

Looked spent towards the end. Ah well that's the Rowing done

Some of my friends know her, and from all accounts she's a lovely girl

She seemed it, really pleased for both of them but she seemed a great character.

Yeah it's not that uncommon actually. That's why I love watching it at the Olympics (and because we normally have a team out).

Tough last 50m for our guys but two golds and a silver is a brilliant haul from the final day of the rowing. Eton Dorney and Velodrome real stomping grounds for Team GB.

Blimey, that was an emotional interview by Inverdale with the british silver medallists.

I think that's 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze for Britain in this year's rowing. Compared with 2, 2, and 2 in Beijing. Brilliant.

Christ, Inverdale nearly in tears just interviewing them! You don't see that very often.

Eton Dorney's been a bit like that all week. Steve Redgrave's spent half his time helping these broken athletes support their own weight after their races. Alan Campbell was an absolute wreck yesterday after winning his bronze.

Rowing has done the nation and itself oh so proud this pas week. In the best tradition and spirit of the games.

A truly memorable Olympics for our three women's pairs in particular. Much to look back on.

Yeah I couldn't believe that stat about our women never having won a Gold before. Well, they smashed that and did it in style! 3 Golds to female crews alone is brilliant.

John Inverdale is a tool.

Couldn't disagree more.

Me and my mates met him a few years ago at Queens Club, when we were about 15. And tbh, he couldn't have been nicer or more down to earth. He ended a phone conversation just to sign autographs and have a chat with us all about the days tennis. Top guy.

If GB Rowing were a country, it would currently lie eighth on the overall medal table (with four golds, two silvers and a bronze)

McKeever through to tomorrow's final in the 200m kayak.

The BBC just showed a camera view of the race head-on, no gliding here they are attacking th3e water.

200m is like 50m freestyle in swimming, it's just a mad dash. And it's mostly about the start. On 500 meters or 1km you have to have strategy and you can make up a bad start. Not in sprint.

Yes earlier on in the event one of our paris suffered particularly due to a slightly slow start.
