London 2012- Closing Ceremony

Our opening and closing ceremonies have lacked class.

Anyone get the impression that both our opening and closing ceremonies have really lacked any class what so ever. Most tacky. However, at least the games went really well.

I hate to mention this, but is there anyone involved in this that isn't white?

They've gone the cheesy, fun, tongue in cheek route.

Just a shame everything sounds terrible. Really could have done with figuring out the acoustics/audio here.

I don't know about a lack of class. A little tacky, maybe but it's been very much about Britain. I don't think that's anything to be ashamed of, despite my initial reservations.

It looks great...when you put it to mute and look at it from afar.

The opening ceremony had plenty of class.

This however is just (ahem) madness....

I think it would have been deadly if the closing ceremony was scheduled for 9pm. All lights are switched off until a lone spot light follows a person from the entrance, silently across the whole field to a microphone on a stand in the middle.

After a moment's thought, he simply says, "Cheers. Good luck." The spot light goes off.
Exit left.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any stranger, here come the Pet Shop Boys

Not the opening one. Opening one was bloody brilliant.

This one is gash so far, but closing ones often are unfortunately. I'm looking forward to the Rio section though.

Whats on the cyclists heads? What is that meant to represent?

My ears, the acoustics are terrible. You would think they would have got it right after the opening ceremony.

Opening ceremony was fantastic. Abide by me was simple in it's beauty and classier than entire opening ceremonies in time gone by.

Who thought it was a good idea to have moving stages? It'll always sound awful.
