London 2012 - Aquatics Centre

The BBC commentators both sound slightly bemused by the whole thing. It is a mental event really, especially the refuelling station.

Brazilian swimmer just taken away in a wheelchair, looked a big distressed when she eft the water.

That would have been heartbreaking for Ristov had she not held on there, challenged well at the end with that sprint finish from Anderson.

Bad luck Kerri-Anne.

He's through to the semi's from 15th. Will have to step it up if he wants any sort of medal (which is silver or bronze, Qiu Bo is too good).

Loves himself too much though.

I've never really understood the hype around Daley. He seems like a really good diver but the talent he has doesn't seem to match the hype around him.

I had to turn it off, those speedos are fecking disgusting!

"Tom Daley celebrates like only Tom Daley can"

God, British commentary is naff.

I don't follow diving closely but he has been world champion i his time and at a young age, that will count for a lot.

Because he's good looking and British.

I mean, Britain has how many gold now? Yet the commentary are wanking over this more than most other sports.

Back in 2009, yet no one expected him to get Gold here but there was a lot of build up around Daley which I don't really get. There seems to be a lot more pressure placed upon him when none of the experts expect him to win.

Bit ott for a bronze.

Considering just how high the standard was in that final, it's a massive achievement. I don't understand the complexities of judging those dives but what i've seen makes it look unbelievably hard.

Edit: BBC also says that's "Britain's first individual Olympic medal in diving since 1960".

Well, there's not a whole lot left for GB, the boxing and modern pentathlon tomorrow before the closing ceremony.

Have you got a problem with the British or something?

He's spot on. We've won 28 gold medals and should hopefully win another tomorrow in the boxing. Yet the ***ping continues over Daley and it's probably because he's very photogenic. He's the Beckham of the Olympics.

Luke Campbell won us another gold in Boxing yet it was almost brushed under the carpet for the Tom Daley train.
