Liverpool will inevitably win the quadruple

Likely. Klopp didn't have a Man City meltdown to help this early in the season though did he? That Liverpool squad is also head and shoulders above the squad Klopp had inherited too.
Yes he did. That's exactly what happened the one season they won the league. City gave up pretty early in the league and focused on the CL.

He had that squad last season.

They were 3 clear in March,a relatively easy remaining fixtures and he finished 9 points behind City.

He totally bottled it.

Matching our 20 league titles. More ucls that us. What a horrible time. All those years of hard work from fergie thrown away. God help us if they get 21

Fair enough, so they both have had City give up early on then. Klopp also had two seasons where his points tally would've comfortably won them the league if it wasn't for the force that City were in those two respectful seasons.

But for some posters to suggest he was over rated when going toe to toe on an era with one of the greatest club teams ever are a bit silly.

Yeah klopp left a good squad and tbf to Liverpool they didn't get Moyes as the replacement.

If villa weren't villa and had a few more years under emery I reckon they could be outside challengers.

Yep. All of the trophies are theirs to lose. Especially the league. This makes me want to vomit out my entire digestive system in disgust

I agree they bottled it. The timing of the announcement was crazy and it derailed their season completely. I think it had the opposite effect the scousers wanted. Thinking that the team would fight for him, push them to a final title for Klopp and give him a magical farewell. I wonder if that's what's happening at City? No new deal in place, 117 and Pep not committing to anything. Players downing tools?

8 yrs.
League winners
Champions League winners with a 4-0 comeback in the semis without Salah that no mgr past or present could even imagine conjuring up, and I mean no one.
FA Cup
2 League Cups
Battered united 4-0/ 5-0/ and 7-0
Rebuilt a team to challenge for years to come .
Yep over rated.
Also lost to Man United 5 times including a few cup exits to them. Failed to beat United in his last three matches as Liverpool manager. Worth noting in 9 seasons in charge of Liverpool who was ranked/rated as one of the best Liverpool teams ever by some finished 4 of those seasons behind United in the table and United have been a mess since Ferguson retired.

It happened in 02 I think for us as well ehen fergie announced his retirement first time. But then maybe our players were depressed we were linked with Sven as the replacement.

I also think for city not having Rodri is huge. It's mad a squad with that much money might rely on one player. Probably shows he's a worthy balon dor winner

Yup. Rodri is their best player and they are sorely missing him.

Liverpool were better than united before SAF and better than united after SAF. Klopp was part of that and built this team that is bringing panic stations to everyone.

By and large, but we still finished above you under Van Gaal, Mourinho, Solskjær, and ten Hag.

And the decline of KDB to add to Rodri's absence. Gundogans not the same player either. Their whole spine ripped apart virtually. Not sure Pep has the energy for a rebuild at City. Slot had a new midfield brought for him last season in MacAllister, Szoboszlai and Gravenberch. The scousers must be pleased Slots dropped Endo and turned Gravenberch into a better No.6 though.

It's very much the end of that 2nd sentence, this isn't just one player it's an absolutely pheonemal player who can win the award from deep midfield! They never lose with him playing and he just ties it all together.

Mix in having their best defenders out and it's bound to unsettle them. Before we even get onto the Pep and charges stuff.
They'll get it going again and will be very grateful we have an international break, whereas Liverpool will be cursing it.

A better Liverpool shouldn't be finishing 4 times out of 9 Klopp seasons behind United in the Premier League after SAF

Too early to say how he will do in the long run when he needs to replace some veteran stars sooner rather than later but we def got the wrong bald man from the Dutch League. I hate that I kind of like listening to Pool's manager.

Looking very likely they will which is very annoying.

Why couldn't Arsenal have saved their good season for this year. Useless Feckers

5 points clear of City who look very average and 10 points clear of the only other teams who could potentially challenge them.

I'm just going to assume they win the league, stop checking their results and be pleasantly surprised if they bottle it.

We may as well write off this season and accept Liverpool are the GOAT, winning a 20th title..

Liverpool have Saints away next which will likely be a win but after that they have City (home), Newcastle (away), and Everton (away) over the space of just 6 days so will likely drop points

Liverpool own City at Anfield.

City will be lucky to get a point there.

Already preparing mentally for it. Thought they'd struggle without Klopp (at least in first season) but now genuinely believe it would've been better if he stayed as players probably got bit tired of him so perhaps wouldn't be having as good as results as they are atm.

Can't even blame City after they won so many titles lately + Rodri's injury. It's Arsenal that are letting us down as they seem much weaker without Odegaard. Seems like City's and Arsenal's best player getting serious injuries were key moments.

Yep - although sneaky suspicion their form will improve in the second half of the season as it did last time out.

Still feels as though Liverpool are riding some good fortune, but if they beat Citeh at home in December then it's theirs to lose.

Yup. I hate how they’re doing well under Slot. I was hoping that they’d have a season similar to the one we had under Moyes, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem like that’s happening. It just further proves how fecking awful the Glazers and how Fergie was indeed the GOAT manager.

With City's demise unfortunately they are head and shoulders over every other team in the league right now, they will win it this season with a lot to spare.

The only consolation Liverpool wining the title is not seeing those cringy fist pumps and artificial white teeth all over the place. Klopps stock will have fallen rapidly! Thank feck!

Hopefully. I'm not really a fan of City winning 5 titles in a row (not great look for PL either) but would rather have that anyway.

Unfortunately when you look at Liverpool's squad in 2024 compared to United 2013 Liverpool's is better. Vidić, Ferdinand, Evra, Carrick, Giggs, RvP - all in their 30s, either past their prime and close to retiring or starting to decline (Carrick, RvP as we saw) and then Rooney who was really good in 13/14 but that was his last top season I believe. Klopp prepared better team for his successor than Fergie. We all love Fergie and he is the greatest but squad was getting weaker and weaker since 2009 when Ronaldo and Tevez were replaced with Obertan and Owen.

They have won 14 out of 16 games this season. They will win most of those games. If they beat City its all over. Plus City have to beat Spurs to stay in it. Which is unlikely. Its over IMO.
