Liverpool will inevitably win the quadruple

Only because City don't have Rodri, but yeah. I didn't expect to see Salah in this type of form again either.

They'll finish at least 10 points behind City. They won't last the full season.

When you realise Forest are in 3rd place

Man. City won't get 90 points this season without Rodri's influence imo. They are very vulnerable to pace on counter attack now (if they can't tactical foul).

Brighton could also expose this next weekend.

Arsenal got a get out of jail free card today just about.

All we can hope is that have a similar collapse as when Kopp announced his retirement. Others have said it, but they tend to peak too early.

Which will be enough after the hearing for Liverpool to win the league.

Nothing like a knee-jerk thread. A loss for Arsenal and their title challenge is left in tatters and Arteta's job is on the brink, Liverpool race into an unassailable two-point lead on game week 10 & it's already time to start the title parade and it's utterly incomprehensible that a Rodri-less City could win the league (despite winning the previous four) and regularly stuttering at this time of the year.

Some people never learn.

I know as united fan we are suppose to root for man ccity over Liverpool for the title but slot is a whole lot more likable than guardiola

Liverpool, unless they collapse, then it's City again. Couldn't be worse really.

Congratulations to Slot and Liverpool on a fantastic league win. Coming in and beating Pep and City to the title with an aging squad is an awesome achievement.

Well deserved.

They're nothing more than contenders at this stage, so it's not worth worrying about. Let's see where they are in Feb / March and reassess.

You're new on here, aren't you.

I don't think it's the best Liverpool team of the last decade, and it's not a patch on the 4 in a row City team, but I now think they'll win the league this season.

Even when they're not playing well, they have the defence to dig in and up front they have the players to get goals out of nothing.

Allied to Arsenal looking shit and City missing their best player and facing a possible points deduction. It's all set up for them.

Damn they got their post best manager appointment correct

City and Arse are laying out a very comfortable shell suit path for them.

Same as last year. Scrapping results by a single goal as they have goals up top. Doing the same now after Klopp left. They just won’t do one.

Still, 2 points clear of City in November is nothing. City far superior squad and out of form and still in touch. Barring no points decisions they will win the league comfortably.

How do you figure this out when Liverpool are 7 points clear of them and aren't going away?

I think Liverpool they can drag back down from 7-8 points away. Not easy but they'd rather have Liverpool to aim for then trying to reel in Man. City with that points difference which is near impossible once we get into second half of the season.

Liverpool are very good at present but let's remember they had all the momentum going into April last season and then took 1 point from Man. United, Palace and Everton. Also couldn't beat West Ham away who'd basically give up the league season at that point.

If Liverpool go to these venues and win regularly then they will be in the title hunt right to the end but worth remember their away games so far have been Ipswich, Man. United, Wolves and Palace.

That was a massive bottle job but nobody in the media called it out because it was all St Klopps fault.

I think so. City have injuries and “Pep’s leaving at the end of the season” energy.

I don't think so. They needed 2 or 3 quality additions for that in the summer IMO.

The Jadon Sancho of football clubs currently. I'm loving the hype because the fall is inevitable and will be beautiful.

Last season Liverpool actually only won 9 away games. I know Arsenal have just lost their last two on the road but I do think teams on their own grounds can get at Liverpool more than the other two with how they set up so we'll see if it happens again as the season plays out.

They'll all win 15-16 games on their home grounds so that dosen't really provide the difference in title run ins but away games do.

Is the the point when everyone starts rooting for City going forward ? November 2nd?

They might fluke it because City have lost focus and Arsenal are bottle jobs. Always thought Arteta was criminally overrated. This season has proved it. Arsenal best chance in 20 years and they still can’t get it done. If Trent , Salah and VVD all leave next season or year after. Liverpool will go back to mediocrity again. But I think they might do it based on City and Arsenal short comings and in Salah they have one of the most ruthless players around. He may not have the Flair of your Ronaldos, Hazards, Giggs and even Ginolas or past seasons. But his goal record does speak for itself he is often the difference in Liverpool getting a result. But still not someone I would pay to watch like others mentioned.

And Arsenal away, don't forget that just last week!

I would love you to be right.
They battered United at our place, which hasn't at all been a given even in our last 10 years of madness, came through the Arsenal game without defeat, and they feel a bit more defensively strong this year than under some of the Klopp craziness.

City look all over the place at the moment. Best defensive mid in Europe out for the season, Foden, KDB and others not looking the part and defensively not solid either.
Arsenal struggle to keep 11 on the pitch and without Odegaard are off it too.

I honestly don't understand how they do it. I don't say this with any bitterness, of course I strongly dislike them but I admired their football under Klopp for that period they reached two CL finals and I admired the way they went about their business with Michael Edwards at the helm. I can admit when our rivals are good!

What I can't understand is how this fairly average bunch of cloggers + an ageing Mo Salah keep grinding out results despite not really ever playing well. Seems they're very attrional and win nearly every game by one goal, but how they always find that moment when they need it is beyond me...it's always a wonder goal or a penalty as well.

I would love it if City lost the title, Pep announcing he will leave at the end of the season and they get punished severely in court. It will send them in a depression. Shame Liverpool or Arsenal will win it when City will not win it.
