he'd have been pumped so full of drugs whilst he was at liverpool that i doubt he can actually remember his childhood.

Ah yes, my bad. He used to go to Everton games but supported Liverpool.

According to his autobiography, the only association he had was Everton was when his uncle took him for a photo shoot (easily found on google) in an Everton kit when he was a junior. His Dad was very unhappy as a result.

You grew up as a Liverpool fan but was there any pressure on supporting Everton?
Yes, there was slight pressure. My mum‘s brother is a big Everton fan and he had 2-3 season tickets when we were younger and he used to take me to a few of the Everton games and try to persuade me to be an Everton fan, but I always had my dad and my brother when I come home to make sure I had edged back towards Liverpool. When I was invited to have a trial at Liverpool I got my first Liverpool kit and I was going to the Centre of Excellence and being trained by the likes of Steve Heighway and the other coaches. I always knew it was going to be Liverpool.
