Liverpool 2024-25 | Most definitely winning the League Cup on Sunday

No he didn’t say it in a sensationalist way. He said it to imply some kind of moral failing. Which is odd.

Klopp did 8 years. Liked the look of the project. Understood the assignment and did very well, leaving a rebuilt team to thrive.

Then got a new job.

Who isn’t impressed with that?
He really didn't - you're reading too much into it, or seeing things that are just a projection of your insecurities.

Ok. You go with that.

I will note it’s from the same poster who has been going on about a 26 year old treble since Liverpool went 13 points clear. So I guess he’s to be taken in good faith who doesn’t project insecurities.

It was a bit of an odd wind up, but completely your fault for falling for it.

Newcastle worth a few quid. They looked completely done in that second half of extra time.

It's annoying that Arsenal are shite and have no chance of stopping Liverpool winning the league. Would've been too funny to go from a quadruple to nothing

Get fecked!

I really hope that megaphone guy behind the goal is scouse. It would be the beach ball incident part 2

The team dominating the greatest Premier League season getting humbled by perennial underachievers.

Well league is already done and wouldn't fancy Newcastle to beat them on Sunday - think they'll bottle it like they did with Fa Cup finals in '98 and '99 and also 2 seasons ago against us in league cup as well. But definitely better knowing as early as March that Liverpool won't be going for CL or Fa Cup.

They’ve only won the league and CL in the same season twice in their history, same as us. Stays that way after tonight.

Liverpool's Champions league hopes.

Liverpool rarely lose on penalties, right? 2001 league cup final, 2005 CL final, 2006 Fa Cup final, 2007 CL semi-final, 2012 League cup final, 2022 both League cup and Fa Cup final they won all those. Only significant defeat was in 2016 League cup final vs City. And tonight.

Aye.

They're usually annoyingly great at penalties, they have to have won more trophies on pens than any other side. Certainly any other English side. Makes it all the sweeter they fecked it tonight.

True, 6 trophies won on penalties. On the other hand, we won 2 - 2008 CL and 2009 League Cup. Lost to Arsenal in 2005 Fa Cup final and to Villarreal in 2021 Europa. Guess most important thing is we won in Moscow when it mattered the most.

Edit: 7 trophies - Liverpool also beat Roma in 1984 on pens. 8 shootouts in finals, 7 wins.
