I'm still not sure yet. I may put some cash on City. Can't see Guardiola letting much more slip after this.

BUT... if they don't win it this year, then I can't see them winning it..like, er, ever.

Bit fed up with the BBC love-in with Liverpool FC. Blimey. Hate the Beeb. Sanctimonious gits. Have a look at today's interview by 'the BBC's Dan Roan, with Klopp. Practically up the guys backside.

You are good to go for predicting the world future in next twenty years, Nostradamus.

Some of you are seriously panicking - there's no need, relax. F*** it, they'll win, so what? They've won it 18 times before and after none of those did the world end.

We'll be back, we'll be stronger, it might take us a year or two or five, but we'll one-up them once again.

Did SAF ever seem panicked or unsure of the fact that he'll knock them off their perch? Nope, he was always confident and calm, even when it seemed like a crazy thing to say. Even when Bayern were still a goal up with a few minutes to go. Or when Mourinho burst onto the scene and broke the point record. Or when John Terry was walking up to take that penalty. Or when we sold Cristiano. Or when he retired.

It'll be alright.

Ah well. At least Gerrard didn't win the league. He joined Liverpool as a 9 year old, in 1989. Left in 2018. The entirety of their not-winning-the-league streak. Looks like he was just a massive jinx all along.

Liverpool fans, what is explanation from Klopp about Clyne? Loaning ( good) backup full back while you have a chance to win first title after 30 years is the most stupid decision ever.

In all probability, Clyne wanted to leave after he knew that he was Klopp's 4th choice right-back after Trent, Gomez and Milner (Maybe even Rafa Camacho). And I guess, Klopp did not want a unhappy squad player. Winning the thing depends on the mental aspect as much as the physical prowess.

Of Course, it might backfire hugely and dent the chance of winning, but as of now, Klopp's decision needs to prevail.

If Liverpool don't win it from here it'll be an epic bottle job. Not gonna happen unless they suffer a massive injury crisis, oh and City grow a spine. Useless cnuts!

I suppose I should start lining up our residents scousers on the banning wall...
Run lads!

They won the league once they got seven points clear after City lost to Leicester, that was a crucial day in the title race.

If they win it, feck them. I'm going to stay away from going anywhere near Liverpool supporting fans here and stay off social media for a couple of months

One thing is for certain I want this club to be the team that fecking takes it off them

It’s not over by the way. We actually have to win tomorrow and hope our key players stay fit.

City do look like they could drop points against anyone though.

Lets hope it doesn't take fifteen years.

The end of the Busby era resulted in a shiteload of success for Liverpool.
15 years later, Manchester United appointed Sir Alex, and we dominated English football for over 20 years. Now when the Ferguson era has ended, maybe the laws of universe demands that Liverpool is to dominate again till Manchester United make a comeback in 15 years.

It will be summer of 2012 all over again. I avoided all the football related stuff during the summer and 1st news I saw was us getting RVP.

So hopefully we'll be in the mix next year to stop them thinking they could win it back to back.

It is interesting, after all the talk about City starting a dynasty and wanking how good and godlike they are it turns out they're not that brilliant. Sure, winning back to back titles is extremely hard and only us and Chelsea had done it (not to mention 3 in a row) but last year it seemed like they'll be champions 10 times in a row or media portrayed it like that.

I dont think we'll witness one team dominating for years again. It's different times.
City, United and Chelsea certainly wont sit around doing nothing while Liverpool wins everything.

Fully expect them to win tomorrow. City loss will galvanize them more. This is their title to lose now. I don’t expect them to let this opportunity pass them by much like Leicester.

The title isn't over. Liverpool are currently 4 points clear, potentially 7 points but Leicester will be difficult given Liverpool's injuries and there will still be 14 games to go. Let's not forget we were 8 points clear with 6 games to go in 2012 before performing the biggest title race bottle job I've ever seen.

Liverpool will clearly be favourites but with games against United, Chelsea, Spurs still to come there's plenty of scope for dropped points.

Anyway, when the alternative to a Liverpool title win is a City title win I don't get why so many people are obsessed with worrying about it. Whoever wins means sod all to me, I'm more concerned about whether we can get top 4.

I think the most obvious link to that is the fact that they were a record breaking team, but that the average age of the core nucleus is so very young. So young players should only get better and more consistent etc after a taste of trophies. That then tied with the fact they went and bought Mahrez and have an unlimited supply of cash for the foreseeable looked daunting for all.

The most glaring mistake was not getting that DM cover for Fernandinho.

Their defence looks a bit 'soft' I feel and obviously they can't deal with going in to every game as the holders as most visiting teams will up their game. Makes SAF's achievements even more incredible year on year.

Sorry for the essay.

I wonder if we should get Klopp to give Stevie a ring and see if he can reversd
Sergio Ramos created a monster
@B20 posted that last time and it was met with a load of smileys but I actually think the utter heartbreak of that Madrid loss has spurned us on this season. Thank you Sergio, you utter bellend.

Agreed. If only if it wasn't Liverpool who benefits from their inconsistency so we could laugh at them.

Terrific management from Klopp but also a little help along the way from our under investing owners!

Absolutely.

If Liverpool do go on to win it (surely not right?) then this guy has to be in charge of our club next year:

Ole, Carrick and Phelan will see to it that their reign is short lived.

Poch just won't understand.

Ole will probably be having a glass of wine to his boyhood club this evening.

This all started with Neymar going PSG. This in turn gave Barca the money and the need to get Coutinho, which then gave Liverpool the money to spend 70 odd million on a center back and a Keeper.

If Coutinho doesnt go, one of VDV or Alisson are not at Liverpool.

If they don't win it this year, they are the biggest bottlers of all time.
Not even close. We have a four point lead. united,Arsenal, and Keegan had much bigger leads against lesser opposition at later dates.

They could have it all but won in the next few weeks with city playing 3 games in a week. It's going to sting but we're just going to have to suck it up.
Their recruitment and planning since Klopp came to the club has been leagues above ours.

Jesus Christ.

Clutching at more straws than a scarecrow having a wank.

So come on, who will blue moon blame for tonight's loss? One of the fans in row z offended fernandinho and made him lose his concentration?

The ref? Who btw handed them their first goal? Peps miserable face rubbed off on the players? The list goes on. F off city.
Klopp blames the wind and grass. Glass houses and all that.

Klopp ready to knock us off our perch. Amazing manager. Wish we had made that appointment.
We were off our perch a long time back and it had nothing to do with him.

This result doesn't affect me given this was always Liverpool's year. Everything has gone their way and City simply don't have that ruthless consistency this year. It's just about how close it's going and it appears - not really that close.

Yes! We'll let them back after we win back the league in 19/20.

Not even close. We have a four point lead. united,Arsenal, and Keegan had much bigger leads against lesser opposition at later dates.
7 points really.

Anyhoo you have nothing to worry about. You won't throw it away from here. City aren't the machine they were last year.

I can only imagine any of those that think it's ok haven't grown up in the north west and known Liverpool supporters all their life/seen the news and media constantly gushing about them.

Still a long way to go. We need to win tomorrow to keep the pressure on City. And hope that no major injuries come our way!

It's done. If they win tomorrow that's it.

It's been done for a long while. It was literally over when City lost to Leicster because with the loss to palace you could say it was just a blip but that loss to Leicester proved they are actually absolute crap this season and now we have todays result too which further proves that. If some of you people are actually thinking that City might win in the end you need to stop clinging to false hope. Man up and deal with the fact that the title will be lifted by green teethed Juergen Klubb at Shitefield come May. Stop deluding yourself into thinking a team that is getting outplayed by the likes of Palace, Newcastle and Leicester are going to win over this Liverpool side.

Prepare yourself for a totally wankfest with the likes of Carragher, Owen, Thompson, Souness and Lawrenson. They are gonna be unbearable .
