I also doubt that he 'has the sympathy of the dressing room'. That's clearly bollocks "hey lads let's all support Phil because if he goes it can only weaken our team and reduce our chances of actually winning anything" yaaaay ! As if the dressing room would want one of our best players to leave. It's beyond comprehension and anyone with an iota of intelligence could see through that, but then it's Sky, who are only interested in concocting headlines to keep the clicks flowing, so what else can we expect.Logically speaking if he has the sympathy of the dressing room doesn't it mean that it will be easier to integrate him into the team having denied him his dream move?
They wouldn't want him to leave, but they'd want the club to respect his wishes. Players tend to take their teammates side.I also doubt that he 'has the sympathy of the dressing room'. So what, they did a phone around to their rest of the squad? It's clearly bullshitThey wouldn't want him to leave, but they'd want the club to respect his wishes. Players tend to take their teammates side.
Can was alright. Usual from him of doing good stuff mixed in with some very avoidable mistake.attack was impressive & will be a nuisance

I think I'd rather have ZielinskiI'm assuming the rumour has no legs but we've been linked with Insigne from Napoli. I like him, he scores goals and gets assists but simple fact is he's not as good as Coutinho. Napoli are hard negotiatiors as well iirc.
If it's bullshit it's believable bullshitSo what, they did a phone around to their rest of the squad? It's clearly bullshit
Napoli won't sell Insigne period. Zielinski would cost as much or more than coutinho at this pointI think I'd rather have Zielinski
Sure, also a different player, but Zielinski isn't overrated. He's one of the best box-to-box mids under the age of 25 in the worldZielinski is overrated. Coutinho is a superior player.
I have yet to see it but I'm looking forward to him proving me wrong.Sure, also a different player, but Zielinski isn't overrated. He's one of the best box-to-box mids under the age of 25 in the world
Can't see them letting him go, we should have signed him when we had the chance.I think I'd rather have Zielinski
Serious question: what on earth does Klopp see in Hendo la? He's such a bang average player. Can was alright. Usual from him of doing good stuff mixed in with some very avoidable mistake.
Henderson was fecking awful.
I know that question wasn't directed at me but I think the main thing Klopp loves about Hendo la is that he's a willing runner, energetic and at times he's got the ability to slow down our play in midfield to give us a bit of composure. He performs better against the better sides who give us a bit more time. Is he good enough to be our captain? No. Is he good enough to be a sqaud player? Yes. Also a sidenote to consider is that he looked a lot better before these injuries he's sustained, his legs have gone a bit, fecking terrible player in Holebass who's about 35 sprinted past him a couple times yesterday.Serious question: what on earth does Klopp see in Hendo la? Well we aren't exactly blessed with leaders at the moment, besides after yesterday I think the manager may have bigger problems to address.Thanks.
Yeah the captain thing is weird. I would give it to someone else if I was Klopp.
True. I just went through your squad in my head and can't think of any captains apart from Milner.Well we aren't exactly blessed with leaders at the moment, besides after yesterday I think the manager may have bigger problems to address.
Yeah it's not good. Obviously us having no leaders either it be in defence or mdfield means there isn't any real organizing and steadyness when defending set pieces etc. September is around the corner I don't know when the hell they are planning on making these signings ffs.True. I just went through your squad in my head and can't think of any captains apart from Milner.
Yeah I'd be extremely concerned if I was a Liverpool fan, mate. There just isn't enough quality or like you say, leadership, to grind out the 1-0 wins.Yeah it's not good. I was watching the first half of the PSG game yesterday and the commentator said Hoffenheim have one of the best set piece records in Bundesliga
Quadruple incoming?Pool's squad for their CL tie:
Alexander-Arnold, Moreno, Lovren, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Can, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Kent, Solanke, Origi, Gomez, Klavan, Flanagan, Robertson, Matip, Grujic, Mignolet, Karius, Ward.
That just screams average to me. How the hell will they manage Prem League, Europe, FA and league cups this season?
At least with Spurs they have an absolute class first 11. That squad above is dire.
If they sort that defence out (big if) then Mane is the key to their season I think, he's absolutely brilliant. If he stays fit, they'll qualify for CL easily.
FSG: How much for Keita?
Leipzig: £75m
FSG: 50
Leipzig: £70m
FSG: 50
Leipzig: £65m
FSG: 50
Leipzig: £60m
FSG: 50
Leipzig: ok sod it deal £50m
FSG: 45
Think the illusion is about to end tomorrow, when we get to see Hoffenheim obliterate our side with their set-piece prowess.
Normally I'd predict a 6th-9th place in the league in a season with European competition and no signings, but this is Klopp, the man who nearly relegated a European powerhouse, so who knows?
Never seen a squad this thin in my life, at least not for a European season. Never seen a club that "aims high" with such an unprofessional transfer policy.
and rest of the nation. FREE PHIL

Except for the player he'd be potentially replacing came from the Italian league, though I guess Cou is Brazilian. Besides I liked Dossena, I'll never forget his very special weekThat and the fact we have a terrible record when it comes to Italian players. Absolutely abysmal in fact, especially fairly recently with Balotelli, Aquilani, Dossena etc.
Ah, buying from the league is different to buying Italians themselves but I get what you mean Borini is another example of our hit rate with them.Except for the player he'd be potentially replacing came from the Italian league, though I guess Cou is Brazilian. I'd definitely take Dossena atm. He wasn't that bad. But he looked like a bald hedgehog.Ah, buying from the league is different to buying Italians themselves but I get what you mean Borini is another example of our hit rate with them.
Dossena will always be fondly remembered by some for that audacious chip, sadly that's about all he ever did right. Still better than the dude in his position now mind you.
