Liverpool - 2017/18

Think they’ll find it harder in the second part of the season.

They won’t sign a Coutinho replacement as that’s Keitas job, and I don’t think they have a top class player in midfield who can knock the ball through like Coutinho could.

Mo Salah has 24 goals? Didn't realise it was that many. That's insane. He is on track to break some records.

Liverpool´s goal differential in the league

With Can starting, 40-26 in 17 games. 1.53 goals conceded per game
With Can starting
, without City/Totteham drubbings, 39-17 in 15 games. 1.13 goals conceded per game
Without Can starting, 14-3 in seven games. 0.43 goals conceded per game

Yet somehow Liverpool fight to keep the guy. It should be all the other clubs in the top six fighting to subsidize his wages so he stays at Liverpool.

Can is such a net negative player. Only causes confusion in the defense with his slow movement, slow decision-making and error-prone play.

Beating the league's dominant and unbeaten runaway leaders before losing to two relegation fodder sides is the most Liverpool thing imaginable.

When will the media start talking about their trophy drought?

One cup in twelve years.

Gerrard just said Liverpool are all about winning trophies.

Well they're not are they?

One League cup in 12 years? Nothing for 6 years?

Liverpool aren't a club all about trophies anymore.

Maybe it’s because they subconsciously don’t think of us as a big club any more, which is why in their minds it’s ok that we don’t win anything.

It's more than their defensive issues, it's also a mentality problem.
Their mentality for the run of the mill games is poor.
They're your classic game raisers.

I know, its amazing how many Liverpool fans he's managed to fool. Being German obviously klopp will love him too. I don't like him just as Firmino is returning to the player I want on the bench or sold too.

Salah won't be here next season.

Might just be a rosy season just like Mane had last year. I find it strange that he all the sudden became 3x the player when he transferred to Liverpool. Wouldn't be entirely sure that it isn't a purple patch just yet.

I wonder if that guy Ty from AsnlFanTV still thinks Liverpool is the biggest club in England

They could have Costacurta and Vidic at centre back and still concede goals. The one-dimensional style of play the manager implements is a major problem. Van Dijk will not solve their problem. Klopp’s all-out style combined with a bunch of clowns at the back though makes for some serious comedy.

And thus begins the bad run of form. Place your bets on Huddersfield now people. Free money.

Also, if I die before 40 it’s because of Liverpool.

I mean please. Can we learn to be boring? Give me a Jose 4-0 Yeovil win please. I mean I was watching that game and it was boring as all hell, honest to god I think I fell asleep for about 10mins. Didn’t look like it would be a 4-0 win but it was. We need to be like that.
Why do we need to perform well to win? We need to learn how to grind our results and fast.

Also, I’ll say it again. But we need a strong physical DM. Matic, Kanté, Etc

You lost me there. Firmino is awesome.Generally speaking it´s so obvious most of Liverpool´s problem come from the defensive midfield area. Moreno is an idiot, but Robertson is perfectly fine. TAA was a mess in the first half, but great in the 2nd. It all comes from the defensive midfield. Can, Wijnaldum and AOC are horrible together. They stop the ball going forward, don´t offer any dragging runs from deep and don´t make themselves available as pressure outlets on short passes either. It stops the whole team.

Still longggg way to go if they want to win a mickey mouse trophy. Need a left back, a keeper, holding midfielder and probably another centre back. And one position that they must sign is a coach who can coach players how to defend

Was a bit worried when i checked into their recent form.

Then came Swansea and Pardiola.

I am happy now.

Liverpool players looked a bit tired to me to be honest.

Firmino just lacks that x factor. Not clinical enough in front of goal and when Salah and Mane decide to have off days then he does not step forward. Obviously not a priority problem but a problem nevertheless.

It's almost as if insisting your team sprint a collective 120km+ per match isn't a good idea for a 60-game season...
I know! We'll see in the upcoming games how they get on. Need someone to drop out of top four to give us some breathing space:D

Perhaps, you can say the same about Arsenal but we got criticized for years when we didn't win anything. To this day people mistakenly extend our trophy drought and say we didn't win anything for ten years. Hell, we just won three fa cups in four years and still no one takes us seriously. With Pool, your trophy drought is almost an afterthought.

If any other top 6 club hired a manager who went three years without winning anything, then that manager would be under the spotlight but Klopp has escaped relatively unscathed.

We don’t need two fullbacks. We need a keeper, another CB, one or two midfielders and an attacking player to replace Coutinho.

We don’t desperately need a striker. We always seem to score goals.

You are pretty much need everything behind the front three.

Plus I remember Klopp himself saying something along the lines that he'll win them a title within three years, and he'd have failed if they didn't. Now, even if we take title to just mean any trophy (which is probably how he meant it anyway) and he's half a season short of his three years, Liverpool winning a major trophy still seems to be well off.

I say this as someone who actually likes Klopp's style of play and I think he's a brilliant coach who has very obviously improved Liverpool's attacking play, but I would be very surprised if he can take Liverpool to the promised land.

Remember when Liverpool beat Man City and the press pack decided the Scouse were on the march?

First Swansea, now West Brom. All those journalists who told us Liverpool showed the way the game should be played a few weeks ago, what they saying now..?

I remember a lot of people proclaiming Liverpool as the 2nd best team in the country after they beat City. Even though they haven't been in the top 2 all season.

It was ridiculous at the time and looks even more ridiculous after they've lost to the bottom two in the league

I've been refreshing Ollie Holt's twitter feed for the past 20 minutes. Still nothing!
