Firstly i am not calling for him to be banned, but surely something needs to be done about this self rightous prick? He fails to comprehend that this is not Koptalk, that this is not a neutral site and that his middle of the road "i'm a united supporter but follow every football team on the planet" type views serve nothing but degrade every thread he posts in into nothing but crap. I know i am as guilty as anyone for the decline of those threads BUT sorry if anyone starts mouthing off about United players without any proof and no intention of backing up his claims then i would do the same to them. So he wants everyone to be completely objective, totally unbiased all the time and posts naive crap that only serves to wind people up, he hijacks threads with no concern for the orginal authour (running the stats for AEBM's top 5 post etc) and basically shows a major lack of intelligence or understanding of footballing culture. If i wanted Sunday school i wouldnt be posting here, or though if Litmanen got his way i probably would... Seriously it was funny - in a sad way - to start with, now its getting pathetic.

How about chucking him back into the newbies forum and monitor his posts from there?
 
I agree, the little muppet adds nothing to any of the discussions and starts threads with the sole objective to wind people up. His latest one about the 3 ways for United to improve their play starts off by slagging Giggs and gets worse from there!

Can't something be done? If not an outright ban then some kind of sanctions like relegating him to the newbies forum?

don't think you're going to need a poll.. you only need to see how many people have complained about him..

i think he atleast deserves a warning.. i don't support banning people for having radical ideas, but he seems to really be getting on people's nerves..

Thinking about it we are trying to encourage more people to come onto here, if we put him in there they'll never come back. So that is not an option. :)

True, although it could end up as the perfect WUM bait. Anyone who agrees with his posts obviously is a wum so we could weed them out before they make a mess of the forum like Lickmybum has ;)
 
I've read every post that he's posted on here since his arrival and i honestly cant see where you get the WUM tag from he just doesn't seem to hate any football team or anybody at all. Maybe thats just the way Fins are i dont know.

whatever happened to the proposed plan for the poll stoney? we're still waiting for it - eagerly i might add.

That's the problem actually.. he claims to support United - yet defends everyone and talk negatively about United. Either he should admit to being an ABU or he should leave IMO. He's winding a lot of people up from what i've observed..

I oppose to such poll, because everyone who wants me banned will be voting and telling their friends to vote... while the rest probably don't care one way or another.

The solution exists already. Everyone who feels I annoy them can use the ignore option. I myself ignored Gutsy, because he was annoying.

Click on my profile and choose "ignore". Then you won't be seeing one word from me.

Makes sense, no? :confused:
 
Come on stoney, even njred can tell he's a WUM. Just ban him and get it over with. ;)

I didn't want you banned for a while there, but I am sick of you hijacking threads with your WUMism and then calling people stupid/biased/arrogant when they don't agree with you.

Gutsy was hi-jacking the threads, but it has ended now (hopefully) when I have him ignored.

I never said anything about name-calling. I do it all the time, so it would be pretty hypocritical of me to complain about it. What I object to is arrogant shite like accusing "fellow" supporters of bias when they don't agree with your insane views.
 
I have said before that i believe he isnt a Wum by the normal definition, but his posts have all the same results of a wum. So we should just allow anyone to post shite all over the place and by simply selecting the "ignore that twat" feature makes it ok? Why should we be the ones having to do that when HE is the one winding us all up? Wum maybe not idiot most definately.

How long do you think i would last on Koptalk by going on there saying i am a dipper and then saying "Heskey is too slow, Owen isnt the striker he once was and Gerrard is lazy". My be true, and i believe it but i dont see many dippers believing i am one of them do you? Would i expect abuse, absolutely i would and i wouldnt be surprised if one of the mods hit the ban button within a day.

Believe it or not i am not following him post to post, i am doing what i usually do an thats reading the threads and commenting on the views as i find them. Its just nearly every single post that winds me up is by Lickmybum. Jopub and Gillespie do post WUM threads but at least we can see where they are coming from and they attempt to back up their views but Lickmybum says he is one of us and makes NO attempt to back up his outlandish views, he just chucks in "objective" and :devil: then says some crap. He is Lethal Injection re-incarnated.
 
the biggest problem I have with him is that he states that he is not a ture United fan, then goes on and uses we, glory united and all that kissassing to look to the people on the forum that he is a united supporter. He openly stated that he likes football in general, and just likes how united playes. So whenever he shuts the help up with his fake united suporting, than I don't have a problem with him. He made some nice posts in the football forum when talking about footie in general.

As I understand the word "supporter", I am one. I have said from my first post on that some may find it offensive.

Actually, he has described himself, at different times, as a neutral who enjoys United's football, a United supporter, and a United "follower" who doesn't actually care about the players, the team, the management, or the results.

Yeah, but then he goes on and opens topics on united like looses sleep over it, glorifies the players, acts like watches MUTV 24/7. I like footie, I like how valencia, sociedad, porto, juve play, but I am not 24/7 on their forums acting like I know what is best for their teams.

You are wrong. I have never said I don't care. I have said I don't feel emotionally attached in the same way the local fans do, so I don't have difficulties to view their performances.. hmm w/o a bias? I don't feel a need to defend Ruud if I think he dives (as he does quite often imo). Get it?

Alek M is repeating a lie. I have never said I'm "neutral" and that's it. I have said I'm a neutral who grew attached to the attractive football played by Manchester United. I root for Manchester United... and when I watch the games, I feel it emotionally that I want them/us to win.

WHy is this so difficult to understand?

That post is just one big contradiction.

YOu have no emotional attachment, but call yourself a supporter? Thats NOT a supporter thats a FOLLOWER. That is the problem. If you said i follow football and then post that then you would get a sensible response but to say you SUPPORT united then admit you really arent bothered if they win or lose is complete muppetry.
