If true, he did them a favor.
By Messi's own admission he is now a playmaker than a goalscorer. I think he would be better suited to a Silva role with runners around him. He's much more suited to the #9 in Pep's system than Kane, it will be tragic if he joins City.
Of course it’s a possibility but a player like Haaland will pick the best scenario to win trophies from the get go and have a good team around him. Madrid are due for a huge rebuild and I doubt Haaland will want to go there now. Maybe in a few years sure.Mbappe staying in PSG = Real going for Haaland.

Adidas would have to sponsor part of the salary to make any financial sense.Imagine the shirt sales!
It isn’t official until that happensAll this saga is missing now is a ‘banter’ tweet from an alehouse club in the Scottish Premiership or English League One saying “We are ruling ourselves out of the running to sign Lionel Messi” and Football Twitter will shower them with cheap RTs and likes.
Because we will not be signing him!
A bigger favour would probably have been.....lessening his ridiculous wage demands.
Think they’ll be after Andreas Pereira to replace him?
And then United part sold to SaudisThis is going to turn into a full-blown Qatar vs UAE conflict...
10 pages so far, geez. Any rumors as to where he is planning to go? I love Ronaldo but I would take Messi in a heartbeat, fecking hell. Just never entertained the thought as it has always been impossible, but but but but.......is there a chance????
Thanks. Your name checked out.

I get that but why more chance of him going to arsenal? Makes zero sense
If Barca are so desperate make him a shareholder, director or give him a portion of the ground. That way he plays for free with payments coming to him from a different source. It's a way around La Liga rules.
Simples!
RIP La Liga. You have to laugh at how quickly the two Spanish giants have fallen, and yet it’s sad in that the balance of power continues to concentrate on a decreasing number of clubs. Football is dying.
Yeah but it’s been worse than most could of thought. Barca spending 350m on Dembele, Coutinho and Dembele set them back loads. With Real not only did they lose Ronaldo Modric, Kroos were also declining and Ramos was too then left. They have big rebuilding jobs and yes all teams go through it the problem is both don’t have as much money as it would take to challenge. There’s no RIP, Real & Barca will be just fine. Was always going to be a period of transition for them after hogging the two best players in the World for so long.

Bro, it's over. It's over.Sounds like posturing vs. La Liga and he’ll stay at Barca
City are way ahead of you there palThey could just pay a shell company a sponsorship fee for him...
