Why has the other thread been locked?

LOL at Liverpool threads should be for when they really feck up, not for when they lose away to the second best team in England.

Bumping this thread today makes Liverpool seem better than they are, like a win at SB was to be expected.

liverpool losing is always worth a few   s

hehe they get found wanting against the top sides, just because they thrashed some crap teams they think its their year again.

Christ, we sure have a few nutters on this forum. 6 points behind the leaders and they are already out. Why bother even trying?

3 defeats and its not even christmas yet

traditionally sides do not get beat less than 6 times if they want to win the league. Thats why it was a good result.

For the last 6 seasons the average number of points dropped by the winning team is 23, losing 9 already must be a bit of a blow for them. Being limited to dropping only 14 or less points in 30 more games would be quite an achievement.

1 defeat + 5 draws = 13pts
2 defeats + 4 draws = 14pts
3 defeats + 3 draws = 15pts

Not much room for error there

Yep, basically we have to beat all bottom 12 clubs home and away and then get some bonus points with the top 8 where possible.

We beat Chelsea and Manutd home AND away last season, but that got us nowt. I just can't handle any more depressing draws.

Tbh, you got lucky last year, what with playing almost a third of your games against 10 men and all. Everything seemed to go your way.

You were never likely to repeat that form again - you punched above your weight. You've just returned to your regular 2005-2008 form under Benitez.

Best thing is, the owners are too scared to sack him. Theyr'e stuck with him no matter what.

They were 4 deserved losses as well. It all came tumbling down once Alonso left.

I know we are all laughing now and enjoying their really bad form they find themselves in, but remember that Sunday won't be a foregone conclusion for us just because of their rough patch at the moment. One of two things: either Pool will be still deflated by their recent troubles or they'll come out Sunday, meaning business and determined to put it right.

We need to be on our game on Sunday.

And the fact is that the scousers can't really use it as an excuse - Alan Hansen is spot on about this. We lost Cristiano fecking Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez in the same summer, look where we are now!

It will be a very long and hilarious season for the Dippers!!
