Lets all laugh at "The Rangers"/Sevco

I do wonder if anything will be said about the chanting. The classics were out and then a nice rendition of 'who's the fenian in the black'. Pathetic.

Aye, there's people who say it's a minority taking part in the Chants but there's 50000 people in that stadium and almost all of them joining in their clubs respective horrible chants. Audible "IRA" chants from Celtic and the customary "paedos" from the rangers sections. It's just never going to change.

Does anyone even care about Scottish football anymore? I include Ranger and Celtic fans in this. I mean Celtic win every week, its like United playing against conference teams. After a while i'm sure i'd stop enjoying it and the lack of quality football.

This is UEFA's doing, & is prevalent throughout the secondary leagues & below, getting worse the further down you go. Instead of sharing money throughout the leagues, UEFA thought it would make economic sense to give jackpots to individual sides in leagues, making them uncompetitive.

Brilliant bit of banter yesterday, the Celtic fans found out what the main rangers banner was going to be and responded appropriately

Dundee Utd were also extremely good in this period. Unfortunately, the more money that comes into Scottish football the more uncompetitive it becomes, Celtic in the Champions League just exacerbates the situation.
That's a factor, but it's more about the lack of income for anyone not in the Champions League in Scotland. The TV deal is pennies and UEFA don't give a feck about the imbalance TV revenues has created across Europe.

Steve, I am not sure how old you are, but I remember in the early 80's when Aberdeen under Alex Ferguson broke the monopoly for a time. Mind you it took an exceptional manager & circumstances to do this.

Shame really, as Scotland used to be a quality football nation with quality players, but look at it now.
I was born October 85, so unfortunately the good times of competitive scottish football isn't in my memory.

Maybe 20 odd years ago when celtic had great players like viduka and van hoojidonk etc and rangers had Gazza, loudrup and mccoist I would have watched the odd rangers or celtic game but now I would only watch a the old firm game and even then that's only if i'm stuck for an united game or local game.

Those days seem a crazy distant memory now. That Celtic team with Di Canio, Larsson, Van Hooijdonk, Thom, Cadete etc...and Rangers with those you mention, plus Mikhailichenko.
Awesome teams and the UCL games between English and Scottish ones were an event.

Some right sneaky buggers in that Celtic bunch if they have infiltrated RFC for taking the piss.

Can't feel sorry for Rangers through. With so many good portuguese managers on the market you just picked a guy who is not even on a good managerial level.

The appointment of Caixinha was actually a surprise all over the press here, to be honest. He hadn't done nothing worthy of note while in Portugal, and his mexican adventure was not that impressive either.

Even bringing Manuel josé out of retirement would be a much better appoinntment.

The hirings were quite decent. Bruno Alves is still a good center back, despite his age. Fábio Cardoso has potential to grow, but he is already a very solid defender, Candeias is a one dimensional player, but a very good crosser.

Before he went to Benfica, where he was always on loan, he was always a top 3 assister in the portuguese league. If well deplouyed, he can give you many points.

Alfonso Morelos is a very talented young player. He will deliver sooner or later

Dálcio Gomes is just a waste of space. Baffling hiring.
